I thought that I was in great shape, but collapsed going up to the tea house (didn't know that you needed water). Just as everything was turning white, I saw an old man with his granddaughter coming "down" from the tea house. My last thought, "I can't believe it! I'm passing out and this old guy is carrying a kid on his shoulders!"

Just to add more info on Lake Louise's Accessibility, Parking @ lake Louise is usually full so you will be routed to parking lots farther away from Lake Louise and the way to get back to Lake Louise is the shuttle bus service which is pre-booked and has a wait time. You can purchase private shuttles too but they have to be purchased along with a Gondola pass. Shuttles cost around 15$(parking at shuttle parking is free) and parking at Lake Louise(if you are fortunate) is 21$

Just returned from BC. & AB. Your videos are amazing and even in early April the mountains are awesome. Walked on Lake Louis, Moraine Lake rd closed, 15ft snow around Icefield Pkway center but the roads are excellent. Use Sulphur Mtn lift after 5pm for sunset dinner, phantastic panorama and very nice ambiance. Budget friendly tip: HI hostels Banff & Jasper, Pangeo in Whistler, all very different, all very good.

Alberta is destroying the nature with fossil fuels .. Canada climate changes is cause by Alberta with a speed twice as fast as USA. More than 100 wildfires in May 2023 and out of control. Polluted rivers and lakes by oil industry. British Colombia is the same with high crimes and homeless.

I am also a landscape photographer and would suggest Fall for photography as Larches turn yellow and make this incredible place even more spectacular. Several lakes will still be frozen in Spring and many hikes are closed due to snow. Lake Louise did not thaw out till first week in June this year. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure about Washington though I've been there in the mountains. BUT...having been on many hiking adventures which includes the U.S. I finally discovered that the Canadian Rockies are the only ones that have like this beautiful turquoise color. Some look more Emerald BUT stunning!!!!!!! I learned it's due to a particular mineral. I learned the name but can't remember it. BUT...not until Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, Yoho & the drive to Jasper do you see it. Montana's glacier park may have some too?!?!
@tammyboon6259

Lake Louise the place/turn off is where these hikes are and BOTH Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. AND if stay at Lake Louise somewhere, you're also 3 km away from the Icefields Parkway highway to Jasper & are equally close to Yoho.

I'm assuming somewhere in the U.S. seeing especially as you didn't realize that YES, we DO have fall colors or as we would spell it colours. BUT...out East there are incredible Maple trees with beautiful and very RED foliage!!!! I have done many hikes, HOWEVER I learned something new recently that a cousin kinda mentioned BUT it wasn't until watching your video did I realize that Peyto Lake has a lower part?!?! SO...I'm NOT sure where it actually starts!!!! SO...I would actually LOVE to see the lower part of Peyto Lake. KEVIN, CAN YOU LET ME KNOW, WHERE DOES THE LOWER TRAIL START BECAUSE I HAVE ONLY SEEN THE UPPER LAKE!!!!! I tend to stay at Lake Louise every time in the Hostel. AND then if I want to go to Banff, Yoho or up the Iceway Parkway, it's just nice to be so close to many places. I HOWEVER, ALWAYS BUY GROCERIES IN CALGARY, they are CRAZY EXPENSIVE at Lake Louise is considered "THE HUB" because it's closest to the CONTINENTAL DIVIDE and therefore it is why there is the most picturesque views!!!!! GREAT VIDEO!!!!! I've explored our Rockies for many years as an adult, but do NOT live in Alberta, but still live pretty central, and a little more west. I just did a trip last fall and did the Big Beehive and it was AMAZING!!!!! 15 years ago, I did Lake Agnes and Six Glaciers but never heard anyone talk about the Beehives. I don't tend to do a hike more than once, b/c there are ALWAYS ANOTHER GEM to find!!!! BUT...through Facebook, I became a part of a group called, Canadian Landscapes and obviously you don't have to be Canadian to be a part of it. BUT...it was on Canadian Landscapes where I saw a photo of the top of the Big Beehive. AND so I was quite willing to hike Lake Agnes again to then go on. A different cousin and I hiked Bow Summit which you access in the same parking lot as the upper part of Peyto Lake. AND Bow Falls are AMAZING!!!!! Bow Falls and Bow Summit are on the list below that I found online. Yea...6 Glacier is pretty amazing and it's the only hike that I had done twice until, I did The Big Beehive last fall. The list I first found was 15 years ago, it's called the 9 1/2 best hikes around Lake Louise. Moraine Lake, however, I have had to drive up EVERY TIME I travel out west!!!!!!! Ironically when I first went to Moraine Lake, it was still ironically a little bit of a secret compared to Lake Louise. HOWEVER...it is DEFINITELY NOT a SECRET ANYMORE....BUT I STILL LOVE IT and NEVER TIRE of seeing another photo of it!!!!! I ABSOLUTELY AGREE, that MORAINE LAKE SHOULD BE ON EVERYONE'S BUCKET LIST!!!!!! The drive up is AMAZING when suddenly it opens up before the lake and you can see the 10 Glacier peaks!!!!!! I have to say, I KNEW that it had to be a mineral, but THANK YOU for sharing what the MINERAL IS CALLED THAT MAKES GIVES THE LAKES THAT AMAZING AQUA COLOUR!!!!! From Lake Louise, a FYI, The Ice Fields Parkway Highway 93 is only 2 km west of L. Louise that can take you to Bow Lake and Peyto Lake quite easily. (Again highly recommend Bow Falls, you actually walk around a part of Bow Lake and it is DEFINITELY a hike that I would do again!!!!! ). STUNNING!!!!! AND like I said, Bow Summit hike you park in the same parking lot as the upper, part of Peyto Lake and maybe the reason why I didn't realize there's a lower place to start though it's not a long hike obviously. Six Glaciers, Lake Agnes, Consolation Lakes, Bow Summit, Bow Falls are on the 9 1/2 best hikes around Lake Louise. The 1/2 hike, is Emerald Lake which is part of Yoho National Park and is very close again to Lake Louise. I just really like staying at the Hostel at Lake Louise.

I just came back 3 days from the Banff area, it was amazingly beautiful of those national parks like YOHO ,Jasper, and Banff national park.I also don't know that Peyto lake has a lower part? Only visited the higher part. The view of Peyto Lake was a stunning beauty.

We noticed in your videos. That you were waking on some of meadows. The meadows at these elevations are extremely fragile and only grow for a few months. The plants that you stepped on can die from that foot step. Please practice Leave No Trace, and proper trail Etiquette. For more information on the the meadows. Look up meadow scaring.

Rock flour isn't a mineral, it's just rocks of any type ground by glacial action into a fine flour that remains suspended in the water, affecting light transmission.
