My favorite trip so far! Highly recommend going end of June before the US and Canada major holidays the week after and all the crowds. Lakes are thawed, chilly mornings that warm up midday, tons of daylight, light snow still up top the mountains against blue sky - heavenly. Peyto Lake is by far my favorite view

Great recommendation for timing! I bet the lakes are really cool after just thawing out and when they still have snow chunks in them

Great video Kevin! Planning a visit in just a few weeks and super stoked! Quick question, is there shuttle pickup to Moraine Lake at the Lake Louise shore parking or do they only shuttle from the Park & Ride?

Stunning Stunning photography. Your time lapse scenes are some of the best I've seen. You obviously colour grade your footage,if you don't id like to know what camera you use. I will be visiting Banff,Jasper, Lake Louise next September and am surprised and disappointed that you can't use a drone. I have a selfie camera that fly's but not classed as a drone,do you think I'd get away with using that.

Thanks so much for the tips! I've been watching a lot of your videos. My husband & I have a trip booked in October. It starts on the 22nd... Can we still bike or hike to Moraine Lake? I know it is most likely weather dependent. Thanks again! Love your videos

Thank you Mindy! That makes me so happy that you enjoy the videos. To my knowledge you can 100% hike or bike there without restrictions, but I would double check before you do so since I haven’t done this. That may be the best way since shuttle permits are hard to get

It actually was filmed over 4 different Canadian Rockies road trips. But all of them were either July or August, with any fall foliage shots being September!

Yes we have, some while driving, some in distant fields, and only once on a hiking trail. But the one on a trail was in Glacier NP, Montana, it was pretty scary!

Hi! We’ll be visiting Banff at October 26, would you know if Moraine Lake is open by that date? As I’m researching, I observed that I cannot prebooked shuttles with dates beyond October 9. I’m worried we cannot get around Banff.
@KevinEassa
@KevinEassa 8 ай бұрын
I’m not sure about that, because Moraine is closed in the winter, but I don’t know the cut off date. If you have a car though whether rental or your own, you will have no issue seeing almost everywhere else in this video. Hope that helps!

I’m heading there November 4th and I’ve been doing my research on Moraine Lake & it closed on yesterday for the winter 😢 however we still get to see Lake Louise & Peyto Lake 😇

I have visited the area many times. The last time was before Covid. Parking at Moraine Lake was a pain in the ass but possible. Parking at Lake Louise was free. They have turned into a bunch of criminals. I doubt that I will ever go again. I am glad that I did go many times. I even got to visit Lake Ohara many times which is another destination that has become impossible. The world is ruined.

It does seem to get harder every year sadly. But I think it’s still worth it, the Canadian Rockies are one of the most beautiful places in the world, as you know. I’m also glad I’ve been able to visit a few times before all of this

I agree that flying is a hassle and renting a car is a rip off, but do you really think that driving for many hours is a great use of time when you want to spend three days in the park?
@KevinEassa
@KevinEassa 10 ай бұрын
It totally depends on the person and scenario. For 3 days and my 72 hour itinerary, it may not be worth it if it’s over 8-12 hours. But if someone has say 6-7 days and uses this itinerary to see everything over a more spread out timeline, driving is definitely worth it. When Bri and I have gone, it’s typically for 6-14 days, so we’ve driven every time. I was hoping that the information as a whole helped as a baseline for anyone planning they’re trip

@@KevinEassaKevin I disagree! I love driving and if it was 8hr drive away I would def drive! Coming from a guy from the east coast we’re driving from Seattle to Vancouver to banff! So it’s a great budget and looking forward to the road scenery
