I’m having an issue with that (on PS5). I don’t see anywhere to untick that box, to remove recommendation filter. Also, all of my skill gems are level 3 or 4, but I have no skills 1 or 2. When I find a level 2 skill gems, it opens up a list of skills (like flash grenades) that I haven’t been able to unlock. I’ve leveled up PAST some of the level 1 and 2 skills, and I now only get skill gems level 3 or higher

@@doglog5748go back and grind early level areas after resetting instances. U will get some in no time esp now that they patched the loot drops a bit.

@@doglog5748 For the support Skill Gems, when you are at the page with the 3 options to choose the support gems, press Square, it should untick the 'recommended' box showcasing all the available options. As for Skill gems, you can use higher level skill gems to unlock other skills that have not been unlocked before. So you should end up having lots of lower level gems that are unused.

@@doglog5748 Redo the Mud Pit or other low level areas. I have plenty of level ones. You may have to remove the higher level gems to get the levels to drop (no clue).

*I'm on console* 1) Equip all items that add +rare item drops. Build them up, best stat no question. 3) as soon as you start, stash rare items and items with socket slots till you can use them later. 2) Disenchant (Una) rare items to get the 10 shards needed to make the regal orb (upgrades items from magic to rare and adds trait) 3) Salvage bench slotted items, 10 scraps male orb that let's let's add slot to items. 4) Movement speed seccond best trait, followed by add health, add shield, cast speed. 5) you do need some strength and dex if your a caster (and vice versa) to be able to equip those kinds of gems to your skills (every 5 strength let's you equip another strength gem to skills, like meat shield upgrade gem for your minions) 6) if you find good items like listed above, you may very well have them for 10-20 hours of game play. The level on item is requirement for you to use it, but I have level 3 items that give minions +20% health, +1 all.minion skills etc. 7) Once you act 2, you can get items that upgrade your equipment from anywhere from 1-20% (use on all increase rare drop items) 8) go into settings, turn on stats over health and shield, health bars etc. 9) no you can't increase the font size of the writing on console yet. 10) If a boss or item is greyed out on the minimap, you already found it. If it's grayed out and blinking that just means it's the last thing you completed. If it's white, you havnt found it. 11) if you missed an item, KZbin its exact domain location because it will look like it's between 2 areas or next to one, but it might be the next area over. 12) about half of the skill gem upgrades give a positive with a negative. Most of the negatives aren't worth the upgrade, just don't slot that gem. 13) if you are trying to use gems to unlock new skill gems on your skills but scroll all the way over to "all strength gems" "all magic gems" etc. It WILL let you buy/equip/use gems that you ALREADY have, making it useless. 14) skill gems/upgrades are only used onthe skill you put it on. It says "supported skills" wich only means the skills you COULD put that gem on that it would work on. (Green checks and red x's show woch skills it COULD work on IF slotted to that skill. 15) Regal gems (disenchant 10 rare items to get one) are rare. I think I got meybe 5-10 in all of act 1? They will drop RARELY as well. 16) if your playing on PC, turn off checkmark at bottom of skill gem page that says "show reccomended only" 17) Clear the whole map before you enter any doors, stairs, crypts etc. Each instance is only open for about 10 minutes. So you can teleport back to town to sell and what not but mess with your skills on the map so the instance doesn't reset or the whole minimap and monsters will reset. (Just don't be gone from where you teleported for more than 8-10min) 18) you use a level gem to buy skills, then you equip that skill gem, then assign it to a button. There is a seperate gem that let's you put up to 5 skill upgrades on each equipped skill. The numbers that says str 1/2, end. 1/3, Int. 3/5 (example) is saying how many of those upgrade gems you can have equipped overall at once. The intelligence gem skill upgrades are blue, endurance green, strength red. 19) if you take off gear that lowers your strength, endurance, or intelligence too much, and it drops them under the threshold you needed to have those skill upgrade gems equipped, it will actually take skills off your controller until you take some of the gems off or re-raise those stats. 20) Prioritise upgrading your flasks, once you get the big ones that heal about 100, my characters overall health going I to act 2 was about 400, my flask heals 450x10 cus I bugged it to do +46% heal. 21) rings, necklace, and good belts are rare. Your belts "charm slot" is how many charms you can have equipped at once. Still havnt found more than "1 charm slot" into act 2.

As someone who has had significant experience with PoE1, some of these tips were features in PoE 1 that were carried over, like the vendors resetting at every level.

mind you that the portal trick only lasts for 15 minutes in-game time. for example if you portal to town and log out. you can go back through that portal next time you log in no problem like the video shows. however if you hang around camp for 15 minutes or longer before going back into your portal. then the zone will be reset. and you will appear at the entrance to the zone, not your previous location.

regarding item quality: Items can drop with a random amount of quality. if they are normal items they are labeled as Superior, if they are magic or rare the name generaged by the various affixes over rides the superior tag

Found you when I was playing elden ring. You make the best tips & tricks videos. Appreciate you. I would really. A guide breaking down how gear and crafting works. I have the basics down, like salvaging gear and using orbs. I just don't understand if I got super lucky at like lvl 10 and found a crossbow that is still with me in act 3, but I just don't know if I'm interacting with the gear system all the way. I've got all rare gear, but specifically my crossbow hasn't changed since before the act 1 boss. I've had some that were good, but I don't have the materials necessary to take it past my crossbow.

For reference: I'm running a shotgun grenade merc. I found a crossbow in act one that loads an extra bolt into every ammo type +57% physical damage Adds 6-10 cold attack per damage And like 4 other modifiers. I've upgraded it to +13% quality And tbh the gameplay is fun enough that I haven't really minded at all, and I know I'm not in the endgame. I was just wondering Edit: ive also been checking vendors and gambling alot. Found plenty to salvage, but none even close to better

If you portal to camp, your progress in the current zone will NOT be saved indefinitely. After around 20 minutes the zone will reset.

How did you manage to do act 2 final boss with this build? I had almost similar one, but with no skeletons, only chaos spells and raging spirits. It was great up until that boss, not doable at all, so I just deleted the whole character.

You can just log off in the middle of the map and next time you will just be there, no need to teleport to town

I love it. You actually have to be “turned on” to thoroughly enjoy this game. It’s a great feeling if you can manage to dodge all one shots and beat a boss on the first try and if not it’s not a big deal. You get better and as the build becomes more fluid it becomes more and more satisfying and muscle memory. Just have to get used to it and it’s going to take a minute.

When you open the menu, select the skill tab and your inventory will be in the same screen. You can also do this while in the character tab to see how your gear affects armor, evasion, resistances, and the such.

I am new to THIS GAME, but I see there are so many things that need to be addressed/fixed/changed, but ALL of them are QoL things. Just like that checkmark, respeccing should be _nearly_ no cost, since we are "gamma testers" at this point, and they should WANT us to try everything. I can tell that as much as I may like or get into this game, I will never go "all in". Having to use REAL $$ for in-game stash tabs is the absolute epitome of absurd, so when I get to the point I use up the 300 points, I will drop it and wait for PoE3.

One thing that really shocked me in a good way... they ported over all my stash tabs from POE1. Apparently they are eventually going to do all the cosmetic microtransactions as well. If you do get a stash tab though, the currency one is a very good one to get.

On Act 3 lvl 46 as a titan warrior and man this game is getting old. Its a slog fest. And unless you use certain weapons and builds its tedious as hell. Its like you HAVE to use a cross bow or fire wall. Fun diversity.

That first tip needs some better explaining.... there are so many gems you can accidentally end up using that do absolutely nothing for some gems. The recommended is meant to help newcomers pickup on what works for what. You need to explain all this better.
