The soundtrack of Avatar was my favorite. It was different from "typical" movie soundtracks, yet very beautifully written and memorable and it suited the movie perfectly.
@gundamnmechas85189 жыл бұрын
Servals To me Avatar always sounded like an ethnic version of Titanic's score, at least when you compare the main themes. I guess that worked for me because my 2nd favorite James Horner soundtrack is from _Avatar_ lol
@JorgechorcxPappy9 жыл бұрын
Gundamn Mechahunter The score to Avatar has recycled elements from the score of Apocalypto. If you compare the chanting of Eywa with the opening of Apocalypto with track is From the Forest and the ending To the Forest... it sounds exactly the same with minor modifications.
@FranticAnimations10 ай бұрын
@@JorgechorcxPappy Horner recycles himself a lot but so do most composers. Horner at least gave it an interesting ethnic flair with the vocals and some instrumentation.
@JorgechorcxPappy9 ай бұрын
@@FranticAnimations yes I agree that James Horner did a great job in making Avatar a more friendly and magical world where as in Apolalipto its more dark but what you say it is the same for both. I encourage you hear the theme from Apocalipto, "From the Forest" then tell me your opinion on the matter.

Nothing gets me more pumped than his 'Futile Escape' track. Though not listed, think my all time favorite work of his is Journey of Natty Gann. Was so disappointed growing up an official soundtrack was never originally released on the film's launch and added resentment towards Disney for that. But thankfully few years ago a beautiful limited edition was released. Also the score to 'Legends of the fall' is one of his most emotional pieces. My musical tastes were always 'Beatles, Horner or GTFO'. Nobody moved me more emotionally than you did Horner. Thank you for making up the soundtrack to my life.

I love the "Tanya" theme from Enemy at the Gates movie. It's so underrated. Beautiful theme. And of course "The Portrait" theme from Titanic. Heart melting.
