What many don’t know is that I was in victory lane for Jeff Gordon’s 2011 Atlanta win. Look for the small kid with a big cameo jacket and hat during his interview. I was in the pits as he won and over the weekend my dad I became friends with a few of the crew guys. They told us to come with them. I remember running through the infield with the crew as the crowd was cheering during Gordon’s victory lap. I still have all my victory lane hats to this day. I’ll never forget it

I can think of a couple honorable mentions: 2007 UAW Ford 500 - His last restrictor plate win 2005 Aaron's 499 - the most dominant superspeedway car I have ever seen in the modern era (and probably the most dominant Talladega car he ever had), with a kickass paint scheme on top of it And probably a couple others but I'm forgetting them right now

I was at the 2007 race that was fucking awesome that he won not even leading a hole lap . And I will agree with on the 2005 race I have never seen a car and driver so dominant at talladega and I have been watching Nascar for almost 30 years he didn't need any one to help him pass some one that day his car was so bad ass that day .

When I started this video, I decided to pause it and come up with my own list just to see how it would compare to yours. They were very similar, but the 1997 Southern 500 was one that I thought would definitely be on the list due to the historical significance of winning the Winston Million while also being the first driver to win the Southern 500 three consecutive years, and his fierce battle at the end with Jeff Burton.

A lot of these wins gives me chills especially since I'm a huge Jeff Gordan fan since I was a little kid. Actually went to Talladega in 2005 the race that he won which was AMAZING, but seeing the races that he won always put me in a good mood the remainder of the day no matter what happened. I remember when he tied Dale Sr, as a kid almost 10 at the time I was extremely happy I didn't exactly know how special that win was cause at the time I didn't know Dale Sr wasn't around anymore but my parents saw it as a special and emotional win since they we're both Dale Sr fans. Seeing that now does bring emotions out cause of the rival he had with Dale Sr sends me chills every time and imo that's the best tribute. That #1 win though was to special cause of how the year was going for Jeff and the luck they had and with it being his last season, I knew going into the round of 8 that this was probably his 1 and only shot to make the final 4 cause it's his best track. When he won I actually was cheering so loud in my dorm especially from the heart breaking lost he just suffered the year prior and now he had redemption for that 5th title. I always tell people that had it not of rained at Homestead Jeff more than likely would of won his 5th title cause his car was so good in the sun especially when the sun was setting that the championship more than likely would of been his.

I have to say that his 2005 October Martinsville win was a very emotional one and the most underrated victory to say the very least knowing what took place the year prior and their was no celebration dispite Jimmie winning the 04 event. Thanks to my aunt Roseann who works as Burton Smith's accountant at Charlotte Motor Speedway got me the ultimate hookup during the 2002 season between the Pennsylvania 500 and Indy for when I was able to meet a lot of the people who unfortunately passed away on that plane crash in October 2004 like John Hendrick, Randy Dorton,Joe Jackson just to name a few at the Charlotte track while I was visiting my family in the Fayetteville area, which was a dream come true for me and my mom. It's a memory that I'll never ever forget. I usually get emotional anytime Jeff Gordon wins a race but like I said his 2005 Martinsville chase win was the one that really got me choked up the most knowing that I met majority of the people back in the summer of 2002, that were on the plane and didn't make it back home. My only wish was to not only be at that Martinsville race in 05 but to have hugged Rick and Linda in victory lane and tell them how sorry I was for their loss and that I was a major fan of the organization that got me hooked on nascar to begin with back in 93 when I was 2 years old. We'll now that Rick and Jeff are co owners of HMS maybe I'll get my wish to go meet them at some point in the future.

His last win was definitely his best IMO. I wasn't a Jeff Gordon fan, but I cheered just like a Gordon fan when he won that race.

My 2 favorite Gordon victories were Martinsville in 2015 and Phoenix when he tied the Intimidator... That one gave me chills the night I watched it....I was a Gordon fan from the beginning until the end of his career.... and still am....I don't watch much Nascar anymore for various reasons....

Jeff Gordon is the best of the modern era! Sorry but his “4” championships hold more merit than Jimmie’s “7”. But Jeff would have 7 were it not for that abomination we call the playoffs.

This is a great video. The 99' 500...Earnhardt showed his real racing acumen. Gordon, Johnson and Junior Johnson, geniuses. Gordon dominated and drove well but I think that if, and that's an if, Sr and Gordon and Johnson were put on a small asphalt track, Sr would win (and then when you didn't know it, Harvick would destroy them). I hope Johnson wins an IndyCar race and I hope Harvick wins about 20 more. I know Gordon retired because of his back but I wished he were still racing or would do one a year. You should have shown the battle with Irvan. And Gordon and Earnhardt were great friends because Sr knew he could drive the wheels off of a car and he did. What a man to honor Sr. I was there and it was great.

7:57 - Nah, the fans that day didn't necessarily want a green-flag finish, they just wanted Jr. to win. If that ruling was the opposite way around with Jr. scored ahead of Gordon, nobody at the track would've complained, I bet.

Honorable mentions, Bristol 1997-the first bump and run. The Darlington race when the thing was pushing water out from overheating the last what seemed like 20 laps. Martinsville 2005 coming back from 3 laps down! The backup car at The Winston I believe 2001 or maybe T-Rex in 96? The Winston Million beating and banging with Jeff Burton. The entire 98 season in dominant fashion. Setting the record for consecutive road course victories.

I'm not gonna lie as a long time Jeff Gordon fan seeing his win at Martinsville in 2015 was just amazing even if he didn't win the championship I'm so glad his final season wasn't just him fading away and waving goodbye. He went out like only Jeff Gordon could. Then to become a chase Elliot fan and 5 years later see him do what Jeff missed. Win at Martinsville then win the championship the next race. On Jimmie Johnsons last race none the less... It was the true passing of a torch at Hendrick.

1.) 1994 Brickyard 400 - Indy’s 1st race and Jeff’s 2nd win in cup. Birth of a star type of moment. 2.) 1995 Southern 500 - Spin and Win and held off Earnhardt and Wallace 3.) 1996 Last Cup race at Wilkesboro 4.) 1997 Southern 500 - Jeff earned that million. Iconic moment. 5.) 1998 Coke 600 - A very unique victory and circumstances coming off the All-Star race the week b4 6.) 1998 Southern 500 - 4 wins at Darlington in Southern 500 plus a million dollars. 7.) 1999 Daytona 500 - The pass for the lead late was crazy. 8.) 2005 Advance Auto Parts 500 - epic comeback 9.) 2011 Subway 500 - We just beat Kyle Busch. People forget Jeff got wrecked too. 10.) 2011 Advocare 500 - That race was special. - I have two more I could add, but those 10 were quintessential Gordon moments.

All those wins was great, but to me, my personal favorite Jeff Gordon win was at the 2007 Aaron's 499, the reason is the day before the race....I said my last goodbye to my father, who passed away a couple days after Jeff tied Dale Sr. in wins, that win in Talladega helped me like you couldn't even believe, it was something I needed, it helped me cheer up, Jeff was and will forever be my hero

Unfortunately I was a kid who didn't pay attention to most of Jeff's early career success, so most of the wins I would put in the top 10 are after 2001 when I was actually paying attention. My favorite win was the year he came back from 3 laps down at Martinsville. Just shows you how he had that place figured out. The year he won at Darlington blowing steam out of the radiator for like the final 50 laps. A personal favorite of mine was his won st Dover in 2014, because I was lucky enough to have had hot passes for the race that day and spent it making friends with his pit crew, as I was parked behind his pit stall the entire race. The Michigan win that year was pretty stellar too. He kept muscling his way past Logano, and pulled the same magic he did at Indy on the final restart.

I got into NASCAR at age 3 back in the 90’s. I’ve been a Jeff Gordon fan all my life. I firmly believe Jeff will always be the GOAT of our sport. I’ll argue that point anyday. My favorite Jeff Gordon will always be that ‘07 Phoenix win. Tying Dale and flying that #3 flag around the track will always be the most class act, and the most special moment of his Hall of Fame career. As much as I loved Atlanta in 2011 or Martinsville in ‘15; that ‘07 race is something else entirely. The torch may have been passed in the 90s, but that was the moment Jeff finally lived up to Dale’s memory.

Excellent work. I would have the 13th win of the 98 year. So, Atlanta. Tied R. Petty I would trade it out for one of the Talladega wins. The 2001 Las Vegas race was in February or March close. That is when he said.. "We're Back!!" And they won the 2001 Winston cup championship months later in November.

I feel like an honorable mention would be the 2004 Daytona Pepsi 400. In a race that was delayed 2 hours due to weather, Gordon ran a Pepsi scheme car (given the sponsor of the race is Pepsi) and Coca-Cola decided to invade the Pepsi sponsored event by running 8 cars all under identical paint schemes to sponsor their new product, Coca-Cola C2. Despite their best efforts, Gordon and the #24 team would cruise to the win by leading 61 laps and passing the Coke sponsored car of Tony Stewart (who was my favorite driver) with 8 laps remaining. Gordon even poked fun about the Coke cars in his victory lane interview

1997 Southern 500. Jeff had an absolutely dog of a race car that day. The team threw the kitchen sink at it in adjustments to get it right, and they were able to get it to a point where it was manageable. He took the dog and beat Jeff Burton and Dale Jarrett in much faster cars- and most notably took on Burton in that awesome final lap where they went street fighter on the front stretch, Gordon simply out-gutting him to the end. One of his absolutely best driving performances of his career.

Started watching in 1999, I'm only counting wins i saw as a fan in my top ten, because those resonate with me the most obviously lol. 10. 1999 Daytona 500 The first race i saw Jeff win, how could it not make the top 10? 9. 2011 Advocare 500, in Jimmie's prime, he was hard to beat. And while 2011 was a different pace for JJ, Gordon showed he still wanted to win. And how could you deny that finish was amazing with them sliding around? 8. 2002 Mountain Dew Southern 500 He was having a horrible amount of bad luck finishing towards the front after his 4th ring, but after a win in the night race at Bristol the previous week, and dominating the second half of this race, and seeing him score a crown jewel event after a rough start to 2002, it left a lasting imprint in my brain. 7. 2005 Aaron's 499 Growing up a Star Wars fan, and then becoming a NASCAR fan at 10, I got to see him pilot a Star Wars car to victory lane, in absolute dominant fashion. 6. 2004 Brick Yard 400 I believe this is the second most dominant Brick Yard 400 behind Kyle Busch's 2016, Jeff was on fire this day, charging quickly to the front from 11th ( I believe), and then leading 124 laps. Just wow. 5. 2002 Sharpie 500 The Bump and Run 4. 2004 Pepsi 400 DEI was stunned in this one, after almost three full years, Gordon got the upset win at Talladega earlier on. But he had a heck of a car this night (also got pole 3 of 4 in a row for this race) 3. 2015 Goody's Headache relief shot 500 The final win for Super G 2. 2005 Daytona 500 The Crown jewel of all Crown Jewels, the first was memorable for me, but this one felt impossible, but he managed to get it done, besting Tony, Dale Jr and Mikey 1. 2014 Brick Yard 400 This one is my favorite of all, because I remember how special this one hit home. Growing up in Indiana, its always special when you see Jeff win here, but this was the first one after Papaw had passed, and he would be the first one I'd call up after a win, "how about that papaw?" And the wins started getting fewer and fewer in between. These were the days... But I've been pulling for Chase ever since Gordon retired. And i must say, I love me some Chase
