You lose the tone because youre playing drop D but its easier to play and sounds somewhat close with the right pedals and equalization. You get a low muddled tone instead of the powerful crunch the 7 string gives. Power chords on a 7 string get me chubbed sometimes.

@Andrew Levister I think a lot of the earlier things are tuned to B, which is standard 7 string tuning. Again... I think. I could be wrong. I'm still learning, and I can barely play anything at all, let alone a 7 string. I'm just happy to get chords right a lot of the time. :P I know Here to Stay is tuned to B and then they used octave pedals to drop it down the octave, but I honestly don't know how many songs that tuning is good for. But, since I've been trying to play that one, I have a 6 string that I tuned to standard 7 string (using low B, so I think it's a fourth step lower than Std E tuning) and I just left off the top string (since it doesn't exist on my guitar). I know it's not right, and it means I can't play a lot of the squeaky high parts, but that's the best I can do for now. :P I'd love to know the tuning(s) for this video myself though.

Well and people love Limp Bizkit overseas in Europe, but to each their own! I like KoRn, but I think bands like Swans, Neurosis, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, etc. had a bigger impact in music, and overall have a good streak of releasing solid material.

Still waiting for someone to give "swallow" a mention, somehow it's my favourite Korn song out of their whole discography despite only having "see you on the other side" for a whole year

1:24 A Different World (2016) and Beat it Upright (2002) have the exact same riff

I think what korn just revive that riff(from bad song they did really great), in my opinion Beat it Upright was not good as other songs from Untouchables. Sorry for my bad english((
