Crocodiles are more related to birds than they are to lizards and other so called "reptiles." If crocodiles, turtles, snakes, and lizards are reptiles, then birds are reptiles too. Reptiles AND snakes? But snakes are reptiles, what the and?
@gatecharb83846 жыл бұрын
"Reptile" is such an outdated and straight away a garbage term. I'll copypaste a comment I made earlier; Crocodiles are more related to birds than they are to lizards and other so called "reptiles." If crocodiles, turtles, snakes, and lizards are reptiles, then birds are reptiles too. We should also call all dinosaurs reptiles. The dinosaurs we all know resembled other "reptiles" more than our modern dinosaurs, birds, do today. In conclusion; birds are reptiles.
@teagenbarnett62696 жыл бұрын
Gatechar B naw man you’re going way to far with this, biggest difference between reptiles and birds is that birds still have feathers. Of course everything is related, and both come from the dinosaurs, but again birds still have feathers. I mean by your logic pidgins are mammals because they feed their young milk. Now if you want to make an argument about kingdoms, phylums, classes etc etc, than you might get somewhere. Other wise you’re dead wrong.
@gatecharb83846 жыл бұрын
If crocodiles are reptiles, as they are, then dinosaurs are reptiles too. You can stay illogical, but I refuse to be a fool.
@teagenbarnett62696 жыл бұрын
Gatechar B some dinosaurs are reptiles, but not all of them. Dinosaurs are the relatives of almost every species currently alive. You’re sitting on a fallacy and just don’t know it. Reptile is not a dated term, it’s a classification of animal the have cold blood, egg laying potential, and have legs the jut out from the side of their body. Some reptiles have evolved differently, like snakes, but still have the same remnants. Snakes still have hip bones and are sometimes born with small leg bones. You’re calling me illogical but you your self are completely Lost to the truth. I suppose you think the platypus is a reptiles too since it lays eggs, and bats are birds since they fly. Not everything is a black and white as you say.
@gatecharb83846 жыл бұрын
"Dinosaurs are the relatives of almost every species currently alive." You are so full of shit. Everybody is related to everybody. "and bats are birds since they fly." You are the genius who would call bats birds because they could fly. Just because birds don't look like your typical reptile, does not make them not reptiles. You don't even see the irony, do you? Is Opah a mammal because it is warm blooded? >Because some reptiles are more closely related to birds than they are to other reptiles (e.g., crocodiles are more closely related to birds than they are to lizards), the traditional groups of "reptiles" listed above do not together constitute a monophyletic grouping or clade (consisting of all descendants of a common ancestor). For this reason, many modern scientists prefer to consider the birds part of Reptilia as well, thereby making Reptilia a monophyletic class, including all living Diapsids. -en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reptile >Dinosaurs are a diverse group of reptiles of the clade Dinosauria. -en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosaur > As such Sauria can be seen as a crowned-group of all modern reptiles (including birds) within the larger total group Sauropsida, which also contains various stem-reptile groups. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sauria Oh wow, even Wikipedia has a more up-to-date explanation than a genius like you.

Was about to write the same. Although not as heavy, I believe specimens of equal length to the saltwater croc has been reported. I'm genuinly chuffed that someone else mentioned it. Almost no one knows about it. Neither the size or the species.

For the largest snake a better choice would've been either the Green Anaconda or the Reticulated Python. Those two and the Burmese Python as well as the African Rock Python are all pretty close in the upper limits of their size. Edit: Nevermind, should have watched more of the video before opening my mouth.
