I was stationed in Seoul South Korea for 16 months in the army between 2007 and 2008. I went to the DMZ boarder of North and South Korea and it is crazy all the stories of North Korea kidnapping Southern Residents even with all the guards and patrols that go on. i worked in south korea for around 4 years and i can say with very high certainty that most north korean people ACTUALLY TRULY dislike freedom and want a dictator telling them what to do. It may seem very hard to believe for us in the western culture who value freedom but its also hard to believe for a grandma that kids enjoy staring into a screen all day. i have encountered many many many south koreans and north korean defectors who said that they dont like freedom and going as far as saying "if i would have enough to eat in north korea i would go back to north korea because the freedom in south korea scares me"

North Korea has also participate in AFC Championship League quite a few times and I think have won at one point. There have also been North Korean representatives in 2018 Winter Olympics.
