Double Dash is my favourite old Mario Kart game, it has a cool idea, really fun to play in co-op multiplayer, special items specific to the characters, almost everything you do unlocks something and some pretty memorable tracks, too! The references in the tracks to other tracks is a really good noteworthy aspect of this game. I really hope that Nintendo gives us a mode in the next game in the series, as at least the items returned in Tour, so they are more likely to be back to the console games, too. At least, give us better unlockables, like this game did, instead of what we got for the more recent Mario Karts. Although, to be fair, Mario Kart 8, the Deluxe version especially, is still really fun and gorgeous, with these elements added we would have the best Mario Kart ever.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a good game, but I’ll probably won’t ever go back to it when Mario Kart 9 comes out in the future. I have a feeling that it will include Double Dash Mode. The problem is that I don’t know when it will come out. I really hope it comes out on the Switch.

@@MDE128 Same, I'd really like it to be on Switch, since I've yet to buy the Deluxe version, the most recent one I can play on is the original one on WiiU. We'll see what happens, but with all the content they've released also on Tour, it would be smart to clean it up and put it also in the new one. That includes all the characters costumes, special character items and the tracks in all their variations: standard, reverse and their trick versions. Those variants are much, much better than the usual Mirror class, which I've always found redundant.

I think a cool Mario kart double dash reboot would be pretty much double dash but the main feature would be you could split your karts like if you press a certain button your one kart with two people on it could turn into two karts and it would be kind of cool, and also when you want to bring your karts back together you have to get close to each other and then press a button and then your karts will reconnect into one kart
