Re-upload from yesterday. I have mixed feelings about mega evolutions in general. But I do think some of their designs are quite accomplished. This is my top 10 of my favorite mega designs.

Ugh, I hate Mega Alakazam, almost as much as I hate the Mega Mewtwo designs (original Mewtwo ftw). It just gets a big hairy beard, and more spoons to bend. If your Alakazam is female, you literally have a bearded lady pokemon. And Mega Houndoom should have been a Cerberus. My favourite mega evolution is Mega Charizard X. Charizard is one of my all-time favourite pokemon (as it is to many people), and everyone has been complaining about it not being a dragon-type since the 90s. Plus the blue and black colour palette makes it look EPIC.

An explanation for Charizard Mega Evolution X: the hotter a flamer gets, the more blue it gets. So blue fire is actually REALLY FUCKING HOT fire. So yeah. Blue charizard = hotter HUR HUR HAR than regular charizard.

No! I think Y is MUCH better because he doesn't have weird shoulder spikes and/or gliding wings. MCharizard Y instead has MAJESTIC wings that actually flap, he has spine-spikes and just a more beautiful look, plus MChar X looses the Flying type and becomes vulnerable to both fairy and ground type moves.

I'm assuming the thought behind Charizard x is black for ashes and the blue for having hotter flames, also why they are pouring from his mouth, it's just too much to hold in and he has to slowly release it, also explaining the flame on his tail

The weird thing about that is, the X mega is a physical attacker. If the black coloring is representing ashes and the blue flames represent hotter flames, then you would think his special attacks, specifically his fire attacks would be hotter and therefore do more damage, right? And at the same time, the Y mega looks a lot more aerodynamic (for increased speed and maneuverability, has spikes on his tail as well as the flame (for close combat I'd assume), and has what looks like extra wings growing on his arms that might be used as blades, so you would think he was a physical attacker. But their roles are completely reversed. Idk, maybe I'm looking into this too much lol, but it just seems that way to me.

And (I don't know if these two even got a mega evo, haven't played x or y yet.) Typhlosion and Rapidash NEED a mega. Rapidash gains psychic type and control of it's horn and Typhlosion grows wings and more fire or stuff.

Typhlosion in my opinion doesn't need wings but a tail for the Constellation of ursa ands it's speed stat should skyrocket even though that would conflict with gyroball and it's attack stat should go up and maybe even get a 2nd type like ground or fighting

Actually I think charizard X is horrobly designed. All they did was take charizard's shiny, add flames coming from the mouth and changing the wings a bit... Charizard Y didnt change much either... Atleast the other megas changed alot.

Right like Venusaur looks "vaaastly" different in Mega form. People for years have been clamering that Charizard should have been part dragon type, and now that we finally have Charizard in the dragon type family, plus it even has it's shiny black coloring added to it? Yes for sure people will be attracted to it! The people who dislike the "overated lizard" like you are ofcourse going to complain on how much you detest it. Gamefreak bothered to give Charizard two Mega's like Mewtwo because of popularity, and they recolored Charizard compared to some and I repeat SOME other Mega's that have the same exact colorings with a few patterns and accesories to them. Forte .exe Oh right, I forgot about venesaur. What ticks me so badly is that they HAD to give mewtwo and charizard 2 megas just because they are popular. Mewtwo's megas were just meh, and I still believe charizard didn't change much. However dragon typing and shiny really set the fans on a hype rampage, making Gamefreak more money. Eventually Gamefreak is gonna run out of ideas, and then finally people might look back to X and Y and say, why did I like those designs back then? Just my opinion though, I don't have a HUGE problem with it.

If you look at the color spectrum you can see that the blue color has more energy per foton than a simple red color. Same obviously goes with flame. A small fire burns red and orange while a torch has a blueish color.
