Bobby Ewing Not really, ammo consumption becomes irrelevant because of the head upgrade. And most other weapons have better range and power than lightning web, if you need an example: Soul Body has nearly the exact same range, stays as long, if not longer than Lightning Web, and does more damage.

Bobby Ewing Yes but all that really aquatints to is getting 2 power-ups. In combat that ability doesn't come in very handy, yes you could use it to jump over enemies but in most cases it's probably faster, and safer, to just destroy them.

Meh to each their own. I prefer it over using soul body. Also the charged shot is a screen clearing ability but I do use it like you said and I shoot the web behind the groups of enemies and dash jump onto it and dash jump off and you can pretty much clear your way through the end game stages in that manner. But that's what's awesome about the megaman games. There is no set way to play them. Some people love using different weapons different waysm

You forgot to say that for triad thunder, once you cast it, and press attack , the position of the triad change up and down for several time without wasting more energy. That make it last a bit longer.

I would include some of the awesome upgrades for Zero in X4. The fire uppercut one, the ice... downercut one, and the spinning slash were really cool. Also: Boomer Kuwanger's cutters. You can make them go up or down, and they pick up stuff for you. Also they have special effects against a few bosses who aren't even weak against them. Spark Shot. It spreads up walls when you hit them. And the charged version looks and sounds awesome. Magna Centipede's weapon. It's slow, but you can control its trajectory and it's really strong. I don't remember most of X's weapons after 3 because I almost always pick Zero in 4 and 5.

Here's my greatest Honorable Mentions if you don't mind. Speed Burner (Mega Man X2) - This Weapon is a total killer when it comes to increasing your speed. Its regular shot brings a powerful fireball then leaves a streak of flames on the ground which causes additional hits to your enemies. It's charge attack is awesome, it gives you an addition Air-dash which gives you more momentum. Most importantly, help you get the Shoryuken in X2 in X-Hunter Base Part 3. Ray Splasher (Mega Man X3) The reason why I like that is that how much it gives a great amount a hits to your enemies. It auto-fires with one push of the fire button. It shoots rapidly at your enemies and it has more amount of energy to use that all the time. However, the charge attack is a mixed feeling, something I like it, sometimes I don't. It scatters the amounts of energy attacks around the screen one by one very quickly. Last but not least.... Acid Burst (Mega Man X3) Acid Burst is considered the 3rd of the favorite weapons. This attack may look what you think, but don't be fooled, these can defeat the mini-bosses from different stages like in Tunnel Rhino stage, Toxic Seahorse Stage, Blast Hornet Stage and Neon Tiger's Stage. I used that all the time and comes very handy whenever I wanting to speedrun the stage. It has great amount of impact on enemies and it can split into more acid orbs.

Chameleon Sting & Rolling Shield? Best defensive charge ever? Boomerang Cutter? idk the fact that it actually refills itself if you catch it always seemed pretty neat to me, and also it helps you with sub-tanks and hearts Fire wave, I always love the fact that this one doesn't need a fancy way of shooting fire, just press and burn sutff But the absolute best weapon in the X series is........(wait for it).... Frost Shield from X3 (SNES version) why? First its pretty good at killing sutff Second it helps you under water Third Ice baseball glove but the main reason, it's even better than the silk shot in helping you refill subtanks (at least in the SNES version, I don't think it works on the PS version, so I don't know if its actually a glitch or something they removed) why? pretty much every enemy destroyed by this weapon has a 100% chance of dropping energy need to fight vile in the factory? grind energy with the first 2 enemies for like 3 mins and full sub tanks wated all your tanks on sigma? use it on the enemies at the beginning of the stage and try again and plus, if you are grinding, if you position yourself correctly you can make it so that the ice that forms after you kill an enemy, kills it again when it respawns so kills 2 with 1 shot

Not really. Crystal Eye is slow and separates and bounces on walls. The shitty thing is it doesn't separate when it actually hits an enemy. You also can't pause while it's seperated. Shotgun Ice is way faster and does not bounce on walls leading to more chances of use. And it's actually more useful. Yeah, it's better.

I'd really have to say Speed Burner, Rolling Shield and Chameleon Sting have much better power and versatility than others you mentioned in the video. Speed Burner is the fire version of Ice Burst, more powerful and the charged shot has more use. Rolling shield is far more useful for protecting you than Yammar Option, and does more damage. Chameleon Sting does something very similar to what Soul Body does when charged, but lets you actually progress, and doesn't lock you into a screen. Seems more useful and more versatile, especially when shooting it normally. But that's just me picking on your list a bit. LOL

This kid is an idiot for not including rolling shield.. They literally re scripted the sequence of events in sigma stage 1 so you couldn't get the arm part from zero until you passed the plat forming In the beginning of the stage because the rolling shield charged up shot was too OP for that plat forming sequence.

You didn't even mention Spinning Blade's alternate use. It lets you kill Vile early so you can get the Beam Sabre from Zero in the later missions. Also, X's Shining Finger from Day of Sigma should've been on here.

i only played the first 3 main snes games of the x series so heres my favorite weapon from each game mega man x: Storm Tornado insanely overpowered and its charged form predicted a later games weapon tundra mans weapon from mega man 11 and my second favorite from mega man x is probably the shot gun ice too its really useless at first but i remember sniping enemies with it and its charged chill penguin form is so fun so yeah mega man x 2: Crystal hunter i love trapping the enemies in crystal blocks its so fun to use it on them and my second favorite is wheel gators weapon so overpowered and useful love it mega man x 3: frost shield this weapon is very weak but legit when you kill a enemy with it it gives you a hearth drop so you can easliy charge your sub tanks this is one of the best weapons in gaming fr and my second favorite is blast hornets weapon i only like it for its charged version cause i like the hornets as a shield its fun to use in charged form well thats my list thanks for reading

For me the black hole in MMX3 specially the charged one, the sound is awesome too when you shoot it charged or not then followed by the weapon you get from defeating infinity mijinon in X6, the charged shot is cool and his pose too. Actualy, yammar option can be absurdly powerful. Using It with auto-fire+Buster close to ANYTHING that is not a Boss means pretty much death. And It makes the mini-bosses of that fire marverick i forgot the Name of a CAKEWALK. If used close to enemies, you basicaly have 4 Xs shooting at the same time. And the fact that the flys can be Lost and don't do much damage makes It kinda balanced. But in therms of Power, yammar option really shines against larger enemies and SPECIALLY, mini-bosses. I never used the charged version, as i didn't knew the flys became invincible, but yammar option is probably my FAVORITE Shield in the ENTIRE Megaman franchise. in both Power AND Fun factors.

F laser charged shot is OP. Spinning Blade is fun to use and very creative. Wing Fire and C shot from X5.The damage is slightly above average.Its super fun touching enemies with c shot.Wing Fire demolished every worms and mechs Also Green Spinnier deserves a honourable mentions for sure

Sorry but "Fire Wave" is the best wep in all MMX serie. Barely consume 1 "MP" to kill anything in the game and barely 2-3 MP to kill big things. The range may be short but if ure used to play with Zero, thats actually an advantage, and the MP high usage is counterbalanced by its ridiculous broken "not even charged" damage. And btw, it have a LOT more damage per sec than "Storm Tornado" I literally just use this wep in every single stage till I get to the boss. Nice vid tho!

garvensman I think he means that you need the wheel gator to get the boots and the boots to get the buster, that's why you "need" wheel gator for the buster, but that's not true since you can use strike chain

Surprised speed burner wasn't on here. Low power consumption, nice damage, and if the shot doesn't kill them, the trail of fire on the ground usually does. Then it's charged form can be used to get secrets and do some really cheesy tricks.

I'm sorry to say, but Storm Tornado is way better than #8. In fact, I'd place that as #2. #1 is Chameleon Sting. Specifically, the charge shot. God damn, that thing makes you immune to everything except the pit. For ~10 seconds. And you can attack while it's active. And in the remake, you can use other weapons while it's active. SOOO USEFUL.

I liked this review and I don't know what it is boss weapons in my mind are for levels and finding hidden stuff. But when it comes to fighting I always felt it was them versus the mega/x buster depending which series you are playing. Don't know why I've always been that way. Never really used weapons much. It think it was one weekend my cousin and I were bored and we came up with the idea to play through every mega man game from 1 to 8 and x through maybe x 5. Without using the boss weaknesses. Since then I've always just used the buster. I get no one solicited this comment just bored now and ranting.

10. Pretty useful. I like how it spits ice and you shoot it. The charge is cool. 9. This weapon is extremely useful 8. Pretty epic 7. This weapon is great. 6. One of the few good weapons in X3 5. This weapon is godly 4. Pretty good. But I prefer chameleon sting, fire wave, homing torpedo, and electric spark. 3. Great, but I think speed burner, spin wheel, and sonic slicer are better. 2. Slow, but it's powerful. The charge is awesome 1. Amazing. It kills mid bosses with one charge.

Absolutely bother with them! X1 is amazing and so are X2 and X3 in my opinion, X2 being my favorite. I also highly recommend X4.

I feel though that they don't look like the have the same retro feel after the went on to other systems past SNES. I'm not big or newer game or systems past 64 for the most part. I would not have put the Spinning Wheel as close to number one, and Storm Tornado would have been much closer. Also, Chameleon Sting not only should have been on your list, it should have been in the top 3. Charging it makes you invincible! You can run past pretty good size portions of a stage with it. How could you possibly have missed this one!?
