I just love this guy. And he doesn't need that title to prove that he was the best in 2008. He just visits the Brazilian track, stand in front of his crowd and they remind him that he's a true champion. I never saw a driver fighting so much in his career, even after so much bad luck

@@ciaronsmith4995 both Lewis and Felipe both made the same amount of mistakes that season, Felipe should’ve had 8 wins to Lewis 5, Felipe was the better driver that season, but lost 20 points, 10 points 2 or 3 laps from the end of the race, and 10 from the fuel hose in Singapore. And 20 points in a championship that didn’t even reach 100 points, that’s huge.

How was he the best when he was gifted a win by the FIA in a race he never came close to winning? If anything, Hamilton should have won the championship with a race to spare had the stewards not stolen his hard earned win at Spa after an epic dog fight with Kimi in the rain.

As an English-New Zealander, I was absolutely devastated by Hamilton losing out thanks to a gearbox problem in 2007, and shocked and terrified in the last few laps in 2008 that he was getting unbelievably unlucky again with Kubica aggressively unlapping himself allowing Vettel to overtake, and with the rain not being hard enough until right at the end to justify McLaren's cautious call to bring Lewis in for inters. Toyota *so* nearly ruined Lewis' brilliant season for a second year in a row. But I was ecstatic when "IS THAT GLOCK" happened, it was for me the happiest sporting moment I've ever seen. However, the dignity with which Felipe carried himself that day touched me deeply. I felt bad for the guy, and I have always been *so* impressed by the way he reacted, with pride, with courage, and with his head held high. I've always loved Felipe since then and thought he was one of the nicest and most sporting guys in F1.

You're right. As a Hamilton fan, I can acknowledge easily that Felipe is one of the nicest and most sporting guys in recent F1 history, and that he's probably in the top ten best drivers never to win the title. The way he reacted to his narrow defeat in Brazil '08 taught me at a pretty young age the true meaning of sportsmanship.

Felipe made fantastic races in F1. For us he deserves to be world Champion in 2008! What a fantastic weekend: pole position, won the race, fantastic brazilian Grand Prix!!! Will be in the history of F1 and Ferrari. Finally, one of the best overtake in F1, Canadian Grand Prix...two cars at the same time. And a fantastic overtake over Hamilton (pole position) in Hungary, when he was in second place. Thank you for this Magic moments with Felipe...
