The Crossfire SRT6 is heavily underrated by most car enthusiasts. There are a few people who have modded them to take on Hellcats and are standing a chance because they’re much lighter

I saw a Plymouth prowler the other day in Portland and actually caught myself liking it lol. Shame they didn't put a little V8 or turbo 6 in the prowler. The srt6 is definitely a cool car though.

The Hummer H1 looked like it was VERY difficult to navigate some side streets in Chicago. You had to keep those in the suburbs. The H2's, however, were ALL OVER the place😎...Until Hurricane Katrina hit and gas skyrocketed from $2 to $3 overnite!!! Then you couldn't give those full size trucks away!!😭
@Soundsofthewood
@Soundsofthewood 9 ай бұрын
Well the H1 was very similar to its military counterpart. I drove humvee's and they don't turn that well. The H2's are pretty cheap now. So is what is left of their interior. Would be cool to own one, but extremely not practical to own.

@@Soundsofthewood I keep hearing the exterior visibility on the H2 is Horrible!??
@Soundsofthewood
@Soundsofthewood 9 ай бұрын
@@landonbenford8369 well the humvee was intended for military operations and the design had more to do with tactical operations. Then some person thought it would make a good civilian truck. The humvee was too small for the military and too large for the civilian side. The fix was the H2 and it became very impractical for the average person for the size it was. It took all inspiration from the orginal H1 and that includes the tactical side that ain't a worry for the military. It had the aerodynamics of a box and the humvee would never see 70mph and the military dosen't care how much fuel they burn. The H2 was one of the worst trucks to get mpg out of. I have been inside of a H2 and the interior felt very cheap. The outside felt okay. Hummer actually got right around the end though with the H3. Was built on the Colorado platform and was more close to a average SUV. Was more built to compete with the likes of a FJ cruiser. Sadly this around the 08 crash and that brand didn't sell enough to bail out.

The XLR V and STS V actually were more than just supercharged versions of the NA 4.6 version that was used in all of the other caddy’s. They had a hand built 4.4L Northstar that didn’t have the head gasket issues of the 4.6. I actually had an STS V with well over 100k miles and that thing pulled hard, never gave me any engine issues. I think they are under appreciated cars.

We have a 2004 Navigator. The 5.4 V8 in those is the 4-valve variant, which was almost exclusive to Lincolns and the Ford GT, basically the racing engine. It's far superior to the 2v and the 3v variants, and I might add, more dependable too. PS- We have had all three variants of that engine, plus the 4.6 V8 and the 5.0 Coyote- all are outstanding motors.

Fun Fact about that Cadillac SRX commercial @ 5:00. GM paid $2 million for the initial rights to use “Rock and Roll” in the Cadillac Super Bowl ad. They ended up using it in a few commercials. Supposedly Cadillac sales skyrocketed. I’m pretty sure the new designs and a decent economy is what helped sell those cars.

So cool! Grew up in southeast michigan during the 2000s/2010s just 5 miles away from the Milford GM Proving Ground, every few years when new gens of GM vehicles released I was the first to see them - always saw them driving around in camo wraps around Milford. There's an incredible amount of Automotive and American industrial history there, they even have a powerplant that sells access power generated to the neighboring county. If you made a video about GM proving ground that would be awesome, though such an obscure topic might not get views, but it's an incredibly interesting place.

Still ran great, just bad last owners. SRX V would have been sick. I've owned a 2020 Ford Explorer ST for about a year and a half, and I love it so much. Twin turbo 3L v6 making 400 hp and 10 speed auto transmission, that are also in the Lincoln Aviator. The awd system is built on a rwd platform with most of the drive modes (slippery being an exception, because power to all 4 wheels is important in those conditions), so power to the rear wheels take priority, and its super easy to get oversteer, if i want it. So comfortable too! They didnt go too crazy with stiffening the suspension, and 20 inch wheels instead of 21 or 22 give a little more tire sidewall to soak up the god awful bumps where Ilive. The lane keeping system and the radar system to follow behind the car in front of it while in cruise control are super good. If you didn't have to keep a hand on the wheel, it would almost be like Tesla's self driving. The b&o top tier stereo is really nice, despite hearing that ford bought the rights to use the name, so the extent of their involvement is questionable. Microsoft Sync 3 is fantastic, imo. I've always been the person with a digital music library over a terabyte, instead of streaming everything. The only external I have in use has like 12k songs on it, and you can use voice commands to play an artist, album or song. Would be great if we could be trusted enough to also play video on the main infotainment screen. Maybe someday, someone will make a custom OS of sorts, that will allow more freedom. I think I've rambled long enough now

The LH2 is not a heavily modified L37/LD8 N* it’s it’s own engine in the North Star family. The Lc3 is a supercharged variant of the LH2 that is only 4.4L. Also the N* isn’t a bad motor or highly unreliable. Yes 93-99 had head gasket issues, it was “fixed” in 2000 and then it was seriously fixed in 2005. I love the N* owned 3 cars with that motor. 98 STS with 300hp L37, 05 deville with 275hp LD8 and a 05 STS4 with 320hp LH2.

You beat me to it… I’m on my third as well. 05 STS4, 06 STS-V, and still have my 07 SRX with 165k now. I’ve thrashed them all but also maintain them really well. Replace a coil every once in a while and it’s good to go. Very few problems, and never anything major with all three having crossed 100k.

@@jessefrantz3156 You've had all the better Northstar's (2004+) - Nothing before 2004 was reliable and idk why he thinks GM fixed their biggest fatal flaw in 2000 - Northstars were still catastrophically defective in 2000, although some owners spent the money to bullet-proof them.

2001 Ford Expedition came out, took her over seas to Croatia and surrounding countries. It was something that nobody had seen during that time in Europe. It was often called a Jeep Tank by the locals. Good memories, could have been built with a little more quality, but still a good Suv at the time it was new

The "Hummer" that I like to call the hideous looking Tahoe. And the Ford GT has to be one of the few cars that went up in value.

Cadillac needs to bring back the XLR and El Dorado. Ford needs to bring back the Thunderbird and Crown Vic. Buick should bring back the Riviera. And I really want Packard and Studebaker and Dusenberg back. Dusenberg would be the American Rolls-Royce. Packard the American Jaguar and Mercedes.

I was 14 when the Crossfire came out. I hated it when I saw it in person and hated it in I think Forza or was it midnight club 3. But now that I'm older in my 30's it aged like fine wine. Compared to cars these days it looks stunning.

I almost bought a black crossfire SRT6 in my early 20s. Living in chicago, having the bulky coats I was too cramped. would have been a great summer car. Also checked out the saturn sky ruby red edition red line that year. oh memories.
