The best part about Danzo is that he’s horribly ineffective. He’s constantly going on about how he’s nessecary for the Leaf because he makes the hard choices that everyone else refuses to. But every single action he takes makes things worse for the Leaf. Everything from the Uchiha massacre to the Sand and Sound invading the Leaf, to Pein RAIZING THE ENTIRE VILLAGE TO THE GROUND happened directly or indirectly because of his actions. So his tactics which were supposedly needed for the village to survive quite literally destroyed it. And yet he still has the gall to believe he is qualified to be Hokage.

He’s one of the few characters who I love to hate. Most villains I don’t really hate, even those who do worse stuff. And really it all comes down to his lawyer-esque approach to everything. The ultimate example is when Sayaka confronts him straight up “You tricked us, didn’t you?” His response? “Not NECESSARILY...” the fuzzy bastard doesn’t even have the decency to either just admit it or straight up lie. Abusers tend to get more hate than bullies for some reason. I think it's because people have certain responsibilities to their family that they don't have to other people. Endeavor, as a father, was supposed to look after and support his family, and he failed miserably. Not to mention he had more targets than Bakugo did. Then there's the fact that there's a missing Todoroki sibling, and it's heavily implied by his other son that Endeavor did something particularly terrible to him. As such, he has a lot more work to do to make up for it. He's trying, but everyone, even him, acknowledges that he's got a long way to go.

Plus abusers, especially abusive parents, leave bigger scars (physically and psychologically) than bullies most of the time. However, what makes Bakugou different is that he's been bullying Midoriya for 10 years straight. From the first scene of MHA, we know the bullying was physical which later turned into threats for psychological control during their middle school years. The reason why Midoriya acts the way he does is partly due to Bakugou having him on a leash for most of his life. It took Midoriya having a nigh impossible encounter with his idol and gain powers to show some backbone and even then it isn't much. Even now he flinches in fear when Bakugou snaps at him despite how strong he's become.

Granted, with the Akatsuki you can partly pin the blame on Zetsu and Obito as well, however during the war in the Hidden Rain Village, the anime reveals that Hanzo was actually planning on coming to a peaceful resolution with the Akatsuki, however when Danzo found out that Nagato had the Rinnegan he immediately orchestrated the deaths of several of Hanzo's men and pinned all of the blame on the Akatsuki in order manipulate him into seeing them as a threat that needed to be eliminated. Which in turn led to Yahiko dying, Nagato going insane, and eventually becoming Pein. And as for Kabuto, Danzo had one of his former agents, who was running an orphanage at the time, hand over one of her children in exchange for the orphanages safety and proper income. He trained him to be a spy, a very good one in fact, as he was able to get them secrets from all of the 4 Great Nations. However when it became clear that he was getting TOO good at his job, Danzo immediately tasked someone with killing him.... that someone being that orphanage caretaker that raised him, Kabuto managed to fight her off but critically injured her in the process. This resulted in her death and later on Orichimaru reveals that Danzo had been giving her information on his progress... but had forged the information and been giving her different pictures of him as an adult so that when she was tasked with killing the actual Kabuto, she wouldn't recognize him. Which in turn led to Kabuto swearing loyalty to Orochimaru. FUCK. DANZO.

I agree with the entry about Naraku, but I think Kikyo is one of the more interesting characters in Inuyasha. Yes, she's bitter and vindictive, but she believed for 50 years that the man she loved was responsible for her murder. She's constantly struggling between her love for Inuyasha and her anger at him for seemingly abandoning her (even though he didn't). Kikyo harvests the souls of young girls (which, don't get me wrong, is horrible), but only because without them, her artificial body will die. She seems to show some guilt over it as well. I know people may disagree with me, but I don't think Kikyo deserves some of the hate she gets.

I for one, actually agree with you. The thing to remember about Kikyo is she is essentially undead. Further her body isn't human it's made of naked clay (as I recall) While her soul may attempt to regain the goodness it once had, ultimately she has been tainted by Naraku forever. Okay. What tf is wrong with Boruto? I have only seen his movie and about 7 episodes of his series but I keep seeing _SO MANY PEOPLE_ hate on him. My one friend told me the whole cycle. Y'know the thing of team 7 becoming their teachers happened to them and Mitsuki basically became Sauske. Etc. If that's what happens in the show. Then I understand. But I feel like that isn't even close to the reason since I've seen him be shot down a Million times while the series was brand new. So I ask why is the hate for Boruto so strong? (I can already hear the overwhelming response that he rides on his dad's coattails and that he's a spoiled brat.)

(Apparently people or at least the majority I've seen like the Manga. "Read the Manga" is a common thing I hear. Whether or not it means people like him more there I don't know.) But as for the movie and the seven episodes I've seen I say it's completely unjustified. The logic I hear makes absolutely no sense but. I can't stop people from disliking someone so yeah. I should probably watch the rest of the show at some point so I can see if anything else pops up or situations I know nothing about. For all I know there might be a long list of episodes showing him act that way.

@@chrishansen1842 Because Boruto is incredibly uninspired as a protagonist, especially since Naruto fanfiction has used his *exact same character* (can't give any named examples but, trust me, they have), which is essentially "Naruto! but with actual talent and a living family but no ambition for being a ninja!" It's...boring. Boruto is plain and simply *boring* . Sarada at least had the touching character development regarding her true parents, and Himawari is a subversive possibility as she has tremendous potential (having beaten her Papa's record of downing a reigning Hokage at the age of *3* ).

Weevil may be hated, but it's mainly cause he's just annoying for the sake of being a minor villain and hardly held any grip on the narrative. Dartz held a much more overbearing impression since he was the main villain of a filler arc... a dude that's basically non-canon is more hated cause the his associated story arc had to lead up to him and Yami so we had to deal with Dartz for a lot longer than we originally should have (which is not to deal with him at all.) At least he gave the Orichalcos and it's theme song, so he contributed a bit more than Weevil did at least.

@@HolyCross9 Nor would I. I stan 99% of One Piece female characters because, yes, they tend to be a little fan service-y and dont always have the most diversity in design, but you know what!?! They also almost all have unique personalities, backstories, and motivations. They all WANT something and have a subplot of their own, which is unfortunately unique in female characters. They are also almost never relegated to the role of love interest. So, yeah, Rebecca is a little annoying but she also determined and has a drive to accomplish a goal that could honestly be it's own anime. So what is Shirahoshi is a crybaby? She's also curious, strong enough to forgive her mother's murder, and brave enough to go to the world summit despite the danger to herself.

Lance Curry I know what he did but when I read ‘that’ scene in the FMA manga I was a teenager with mental illnesses who would read manga to help calm down, it traumatised me and I stopped reading manga for over a year because of it, I only started again after I started taking antidepressants so my mental health was better, I learned about Griffith after becoming an adult with moderate to ok mental health so it didn’t traumatise me, I hate Tucker more because what he did literally affected my own mental health and put me off one of my favourite coping mechanisms

Kamoshida is personally the absolute most disgusting character to me, if only because he was also the most realistic. Everyone turned a blind eye to him (sound familiar) and he still managed to sexually harass/abuse, physically abuse and verbally abuse the students because no one was willing to out him. They literally had to force him to change in order to actually get him to stop, because not even a suicide attempt (that lead to a coma) caused by rape made them stop worshiping Kamoshida. It's so fucking gross, so realistic to some degree that that makes him all the more worse
