I saw an interview with the Turkey guy and apparently he had accidentally seen the "food often stuffed" question because the host wasn't so good at hiding the question cards. So he'd already decided he was going to give Turkey as the answer to that question and then when the round started his brain was all confused because he thought that was going to be the opening question.

As I understood it, while the first contestant was giving his answers, the second contestant was taken to a different part of the studio and had headphones put on with music playing so he couldn't hear the first contestant's answers. The music cut out briefly, and he heard the word "chicken" but didn't hear the question that went with it. So he answered "turkey" to each question,

Panel shoes are crammed with people desperate to further their 'comedy' careers and sell tickets to their stand up shows. Therefore they appear for next to, or even nothing. In Strike it Lucky with Michael Barrymore there where once two Wrens on from Essex as a team and one of the questions was names of special hats... and they had the list up on the board of the 5 answers.. and these two names where both up there.. Barrymore asked the girl.. "name a hat a Bishop might wear?" and she studied and looked at it as unsure quietly answered... Fez... Well Barrymore and the audience fell about..and of course after recovering himself.. he had to do a Tommy Cooper impression.. "ahhh I was talkin to the Bishop of Durham the other day.. He said Tommy.." Then this poor Wren realised what it was.. and in a broad Essex/Cockney accent screamed "OH ITS WANNA THOSE IN'IT!!" and she nearly p*ss*d herself laughing.. and she had one of the funniest high pitched laughs you could imagine.. And it just made everybody else in the studio howl !! How they got that episode edited into 30 minutes was beyond me!!!

There's been quite a few dreadful answers on Tipping Point the one I remember was the guy who mistook Homer the ancient poet for Homer Simpson and when asked what name he used for food he answered doughnuts. And the other contestant agreed with him! Off course the guy was a teacher as teachers seem to have a serious lack of knowledge when you see them on quiz shows. As for Katherine Ryan one of the unfunniest people imaginable but yet crops up on all kinds of shows. I saw her on Richard Osman's House Of Games where she was unable to answer an easy question about Only Fools And Horses and then admitted that she has never seen it. Now I know she is Canadian but she has been over here for about 20 years and as a comedian you would have thought she might have said to herself I must watch the greatest British sitcom ever made!
