Here's my the top ten most picked characters in the King Of Fighters games. These are the fighters that I'm comfortable playing as and enjoy using. Like in previous videos, this list is the result of my own opinion, and by no mean represents a general consensus.

That's totally normal in Kof, and that's basically what i meant in my early comment in other words. That the absence of some chars in new games (mainly on a new arc) is not about disinterest, "hate" or anything like that...

Robert is my favourite in the entire KOF series. I've liked him ever since I first saw him in Art Of Fighting 2. The guy is so damn stylish and an awesome rich ass kicker! It's kinda strange that he's Italian despite having a Spanish name (lol). But personally I don't mind. He is so cool. With that said what makes him different from Street Fighter's Ken? My team in KOF is Ryo, Robert and Billy.

I'll play Yamazaki in any game he's in even if I'm trash at Yamazaki. I always enjoy playing Andy because of his high mobility and the fact that he was the one who enabled me to beat Fatal Fury 1 on the arcade. I always have to have myself some Clark time because grappling is always a blast and he makes it even more fun. From there, Billy, Robert, Terry, Ryo, Joe, Ralf, and a constantly ill-fated Geese.

If I were to make a top 5 of my KOF characters on all games it would definitely be: 1- Mature 2- Orochi Shermie (I love normal Shermie too, but Orochi Shermie always had my heart) 3- Chris/Orochi Chris 4- Kula 5- Angel Yeah, I do have a thing for evil female characters, if I were to make this a top 10, it would include Vice, Goenitz, Mary, Athena and King.

King, Mai, Kula, Elisabeth. These beauties are always guaranteed to be in my team, except if I want to experiment. Elisabeth is by far one of my most favorite character and story-wise. Her combos may be bland, but it's easy to understand. Her uppercut can easily punish approaching opponents, and can be easily comboed into a super. Kula takes a while to understand. Her combo potential is high, but needs mastery. Which is what makes her fun! Also, I love ice, soo.. King. I'm sure you explained her too well. Like you said, she's a fantastic zoner, and she's a literal beast in KOF XIII with her insane HD Cancels. She easily punish you with just one "Tornado Kick!" Mai is by far my most favorite. A master trickster. As I jump in the air, people always tend to jump too, so I punish them with "Musasabi No Mai". My favorite move is when she can bounce off the corner, so high that she's off screen. This gives me more opportunities to confuse enemies. But I'm glad I watched this video. I'll make sure to try out some of these, especially Mature since I barely used her.

Obviously my fav will always be Iori and I never start a team without him. But my all time favorite is Ralf. Back when I was a kid playing KoF in Mexico none stop, I always thought Ralf was Mexican because of his design in the older games but now I know he is American and his design was inspired by Rambo. KoF is literally the only fighting game that has real diverse characters from other countries and ethnicities. Obviously there’s other fighting games like Tekken that have more diversity but KoF was my favorite game at the time.

Ralph, Iori, Kim, Ryo, Mai, Joe, Kensou, Leona, Terry, Mary. I'd say those are my favourite characters. I don't have plaid any KoF more than the 97' when I was a kid. And those are the characters that I liked most back then and the ones that since then I allways have felt more confortable with. Specially Mai in that edition had every type of moves. She was so good. Even today I'd say that 97' Mai is the best of them all... mmm, maybe because I allways compare her newest move sets with that one I don't use her that much today. Well, it is what it is.

When it comes to my main guy in KOF, I always like playing Kensou. This dude has a lot of potential for a comic relief guy. Even if he can or can't use his powers, his moves and fighting style is so cool. He's a lot easy to use for me. The Dragon Spirit seems interesting, and it does need an arc in the series.

Clark is the only grapple character I've been able to actually play somewhat decently. Though my favorite characters gameplay wise are kim and kensou I guess I could say I'm very fond of kim due to his kicks that can open into combos and kensou because I just love his play style. This is a great list! Yamazaki is probably one of the most unique characters I have seen in a fighting game, then again, I suck in fighting games, so what do I know? He can grapple, anti-air, and punish projectile spammers. Easily the coolest thing about him is his Drill special. I think it’s the only ultimate in the KOF franchise that you can charge for more damage. I really enjoyed this list.

My main is usually Andy Bogard. Sometimes I would play as the Fatal Fury team in early KOF titles (94-98), with Andy being my most favorite, and Terry being the least. Joe is somewhat in the middle. For later KOF titles, I usually pick a team that I usually call the Early Main Sidekicks, consisting of Andy, Robert, and Benimaru. I remember beating KOF XIII and XIV for the first time with this team, and stick with team ever since. Also, perhaps you could talk about the most picked team compositions for your next video? That would be interesting because not all predestined teams are balanced (except perhaps for the first Japan team, also a favorite of mine), and a good selection of custom team members and their order in a fight determine a lot of the success in beating the game.

I have a handful of characters I like to play in the KOF series. Fighters such as Iori, Kyo, Ryo, Yuri, King, Kim, Ralf and Clark. But none of them will give me much fun as my main Terry Bogard. As you said in the video Terry is a all rounder, easy to memorize moves and is just so much fun to play. But what I like about him more is his character. Terry is a everyday man training, working in an out on odd jobs, and is overall a nice person. And yes I also love his very quotable engrish dialogue 🤣. He seems like the type of guy to have a drink with. Plus nothing is more satisfying than hitting my opponent a well timed BUSTAH WULF!🤜🏻💥

Throughout the KOF Series, I main Terry, Ryo and Robert in '97. For '98UM, I use Base Rugal. He and Saisyu always carried out my team in that version. For XIV, Nakoruru and Rock Howard (like I said before) always carried out my team. I always used Nakoruru as a Middle/Anchor character due to the hard nerfs she got after the patch with Rock taking point.

My top 10 KOF character picks (in no particular order) - Terry Bogard - Kyo Kusanagi - Angel - Shermie - B. Jenet - Blue Mary - Kim Kaphwan - Mai Shiranui - Joe Higashi - Luong Honorable Mentions: Shingo, Kula, Ryo, and Vanessa Terry is my overall favorite KOF character. I love his genuinely chill, friendly and easy-going personality and he's still able to kick serious ass too. He's easily one of the nicest fighting game protagonists but he's still able to pull off being a badass too. Terry is almost always going to be on my team. Shermie and Mary are probably my overall favorite grapplers. B. Jenet is really fun to use and after playing her more in KOF XI recently she became one of my favorite KOF ladies. Angel may be considered to be one of the hardest characters in the series to use, but I still really love using her. She's really fun and cool to use once you know how her Unchained Circle works. Plus, how can you not love a character who pays homage to The Rock?

Terry is my main man, I like his character and the balanced move set and stats make him easy to use. Athena is also among my most picked for her variety of attacks she could pulled off. But if it's 98 or 2002, it will be all about Rugal. You know Rugal, enough said. He's also my main in KOF Allstar.

@@carlosaugusto9821 Isn't it why I mentioned 2-3 of them? Because we usually pick 3 for the team (But sometimes a single one and sometimes 4). In fact, I like to rotate my hands on a lot of characters but those I mentioned are my staple picks. If you want more names from me then I'll add one or two, Clark and Ralf, one swift grappler and one heavy hitter.

Rugal (98um): Because he's awesome. Geese (98 and 02um): because he's awesome and because I like Geese, my favorite character in KOF. Yuri(all KOF): I like the challenge, and my second favorite character. Leona(all KOF): Honestly, idk why I like to use her. Andy Bogard(rarely in 2003): same reason as Leona. Yamazaki(KOF 98): I just like his energy.

I'll just list my top 5 when i play the game: Sie kensou (when he's powered), Ryuji Yamazaki, (non-charge) Robert Garcia, and (non-orochi) Yashiro who i can combo with better than the orochi version, and Joe Higashi!

@terry bogard sure it's easily avoided, but it saved me many times when i was in a pinch, i was about to die with another hit, but galactic phantom killed the enemies who had more than half their life bar. my second pick is terry by the way, because he wears red, and he's cool.

King is the character I played the most in most KOF games. She was the first character I managed to pick up when I was first introduced to the series. I usually don’t flock to shoto characters, but King is someone who felt very special to me. I also play characters like Chris, Shermie (my favorite grappler), Mature, Kensou and Benimaru.
