Pre-Retcon Beyonder was literally the TOAA of his own continuity. DC, Marvel, Archie, PR Beyonders universe etc etc. He was designed as a figure invading the 'Marvel Multiverse' from outside of it. To this end he stands as EQUAL to Marvels TOAA (and as he predates TOAA's inception in the comics he was actually likely the inspiration for it).

The main thing this list showed me was that Marvel is running out of room to make 'more powerful' characters. The *bottom* of the list can destroy universes with ease. The second from the bottom can destroy *concepts*. Every other character above that has the same overbearingly excessive power to eradicate everything, with heroes somehow able to fight their entire universe just being erased (don't ask me how; it's like saying an ant, seeing the exterminator aiming the nozzle at the entrance to the nest, somehow stops him... or worse, the same ant stopping a bulldozer or backhoe from digging up the whole area). This is something like 'DBZ Syndrome' where each time they make the characters more and more powerful until it just stops making sense. At what point would you continue to even care about small things like people and planets when at a glance, you're looking out over the entire universe and not just seeing it, but comprehending it all with ease? Why would you CARE what a few small temporary beings were doing on their one, or even few sandspeck little planets? I feel like most of these beings would find themselves seeing too much more of the overlying nature of things to ever be concerned with the tiny aspects like planet Earth and it's here-and-gone lifeforms.

Great point! Marvel really faces the challenge of keeping stories engaging when characters become so powerful that universe-destroying feats feel routine. With 'DBZ Syndrome,' each new character has to be stronger than the last, which sometimes reduces the tension and makes it harder for audiences to connect. Keeping these cosmic beings grounded is quite a balancing act

By the way: cosmic regulator Thanos isn't canon because it defies all of Marvel logic. My Pick for the 17 strongest characters: 1. One Above All/ One Below All / (maybe Fulcrum) (2. Maybe Protege and maybe if canon Heart of the Universe Thanos) 3. Mother of All Horrors. 4. Via Potential: Hulk (Don't know yet where to put the Eldest in this Raning) 5. Enigma 6. Phoenix Force 7. Tiger God 8. (Maybe Goblin Force) 9. First Firmament 10.Living Tribunal 11. Multi Eternitys (all 7 Incarnations) and their champions (Lifebringer One) aswell as their counter parts Anti-All or later Oblivion. 12. Lost One 13. Dominions 14. The Beyonders. While Omega Beyonders probably could rank higher 15. The Eventuallity 16. The kings in black 17. Other cosmic concepts like Multi Death etc. This is my interpretation. Their could be flaws.

Well, comics usually try to break it down by the nature and scale of their powers. It’s almost like comparing mythological gods, some control time, others manipulate space, and then there are those who play with reality like they’re folding a piece of paper. Some of these characters have 'steady' power,, like a flame that never goes out. Others need the right conditions to unleash their full potential, like a superhero who requires a planetary alignment to reach their peak. It’s those little differences that give us a (vague, but helpful) sense of who’s more powerful. Of course, all this comes with that ‘it’s up to the writer’ factor, because, hey, in comics, anything’s possible, right?

As someone who is into comics for more than 30 years, I can say: this list, as many, many others out there is mostly bullshit. 1. Franklin is no Mutant any longer 2. You picked a bunch of the most known powerful characters and threw them into the pott. Some of them randomly out of place. As Galactus shouldn't be that high. And there been a lot more, but much more unknown characters, who are in this list. 3. This list pretending to be definite, while many of the Power scalings between these characters are just implied. 4. Characters are only taken by their base Form. Not their Potential. Because characters like Hulk and Thor or Loki are completely missing, while when tapping into their full potential far exceeding many of these shown characters
