My first encounter with Poirot was Peter Ustinov in Death on The Nile. He was good but I think David Suchet just walked into Poirot and made him his own .

Hickman as Marple is my favorite. I loved her in "A Murder is Announced." And her relationship with the Detective Inspector Slack in the other episodes is funny.

Absolutely agree, Suchet is the best Poirot. Cards on the Table is my personal favorite, but Murder on the Orient Express is also a great one. Love Marple too, but Poirot will always have my ♥. I enjoy Emily Brightwell for a cozy plus. Such a great cast of quirky characters in her Mrs. Jeffries series. Rita Mae Brown's Mrs. Murphy series is a favorite of mine, and does prove what I've always believed 🐱 are smarter than people and they try to assist their poor, befuddled humans. 😂 Deborah Crombie writes a good police procedural set in the UK. Robert Crais is a master with his Elvis Cole and Joe Pike series. It's one part snarky Sherlock Holmes style crime solving and one part Ramboesque action packed destruction. A really good time all around.

Love David Suchet but for sentimental reasons I adore the movies with Peter Ustinov. And I'm going to read Eve Green soon and Jane Steele and the Woman in White and Rebecca and All the Birds, Singing...well all the Lianne books for me ;) Loved this, obviously ♥

I have not read any of these books and now they are all on my TBR. I have seen the movie adaptation of Rebecca and enjoyed it. I can’t wait to pick up these titles especially since October is right around the corner.

The only one on this list that I have read is murder on the orient express. I liked it ok but felt like it was very similar to amd then there were none. Just in reverse. And then there were none is my favorite Christie (of the ones I have read). So, that somewhat lessened my enjoyment of Orient express though overall I did like it.
