The Nova 3 is missing in this list. Maybe you did this because its smaller than the other devices mentioned here, but all these have one important downside: mobility. As much as I love my Note Air, it is not without cons. Specifically the pen and screen protector you get you can basically just put in the trashcan. So: 1. Get a better pen. Pretty much anything will be an upgrade, but my favorite is the Samsung galaxy tab s6 lite pen, which also features magnets like the default pen (it may be too small if you have big hands though). 2. Get a better screen protector. It's a lot down to preference, but I love the ESR Paper-Feel screen protector. It has a really nice paper feel without being too rough. It's very similar to the reMarkable 2 feel. It also diffuses reflections even more than the naked Note Air screen, unlike most other screen protectors that will actually make it more reflective. The main challenge is that you can't get it in the right size, so you'll have to buy one that's too big (for instance the iPad Pro 12.9) and cut it to size yourself. The only one I know of that you can get in the right size for the Note Air is from DooDroo, but that one is extremely rough/coarse, too much for my taste at least. With those two upgrades it's a phenomenal writing experience and a very powerful and versatile device.

The Note Air comes with a screen protector you have to put on yourself and its almost impossible to do without leaving bubbles. It also has no rubber feet to keep it from sliding or prevent scratching on the back panel. The holds the unit with sticky tape which will lose its adhesive qualities pretty soon. The Remarkable is held to its case with magnets and the screen layer is already applied at the factory. It has rubber feet. Despite its many software shortcomings, the hardware is superior to the Note Air.
@ervanngaraffa4 жыл бұрын
Depends what you call hardware. Note Air has front light, multi touch screen, audio, cover detection for auto unlock, bluetooth for external keyboard, 32GB of storage (only 23 usable but still). I agree that having rubber feets and decent magnets for the pen and cover would improve the Note Air a lot, but saying Remarkable 2 is superior overall is just subjective. RM2 has better writing feel + rubber feets and good magnets in it's advantage, but that's it really on the hardware side. It serves another purpose and as a pure note-taker is possibly better than the Note Air. But it's unfounded to state its absolute superiority, especially if we include software in the discussion, in which case the Note Air crushes the Remarkable.

Not sure why you even have to put the Chinese only devices in the review

I would think the Max Lumi would be in this list. It is really the king of all in terms of power and capabilities. Don’t know the criteria for this ranking so can’t really understand how devices only in Chinese made the list but the Lumi didn’t.

Let's be honest, amazon has a strangehold on the ebook market so it's always going to be the best unless things change.

I heavily disagree, as not only are there options such as sideloading your own files, but also many android ereaders (such as boyue's line of likebooks) support google play functionality, therefore allowing anyone previously coming from a kindle to download the app and then proceed to get all their books, as well as the ability to buy new ones

How can it be in the top 10 - if it's only available in China for limited quantities? Lousy video
@goodereader3 жыл бұрын
We clearly say it's available anywhere In the world Become a less lousy viewer

@@goodereader First, I apologize for my crude language. And, I'm sorry, I should have said "usable in Chinese." If it's only usable in Chinese it's not usable around the world. I should be more clear in my complaints. For a top 10 list, few of the options were useful to me. Which makes me question what the criteria were for ranking. It's not a useful video if it doesn't serve the community who are following you. I may be exposing my biases - but if the majority of your viewers are English-speakers (which I assume only because you present in English) - ranking Chinese-only devices in the top 10 doesn't help us. Again, I apologize for my perfunctory comments - I often forget there are real people behind the videos. You're doing good work. I'm only complaining to help you make more videos that will help me. I hope you'll continue to do good work and wish you continued success.

Quadurno has the best writing feel? What? Note Air has too many negatives to even be better than rM2. Don’t know how you say it has no flaws...
@goodereader4 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Sony uses a non-glass screen with graphite nibs, it is the best writing feel out of any device And the quadrennial uses the same hardware as the Sony And yes, the air is better than the remarkable in every conceivable way

You put bouye shitty products, devices thought only for China, when your audience is mainly English speaking, and you didn't put all the onyx products. This is clearly dishonest top ten
