I don't have a lot of the things you discussed, and am using Outlook 365, but must be a different version. I was able to follow along for the most part. Your voice is nice, clear, and easy to follow. I only have access to my calendar (we are very small, just myself, and another colleague, and the owner). They don't utilize their calendars, so I can't add theirs to mine, moot point. But I go into my calendar and add things, like when they have a meeting, or when they have vacation, etc. Is there a way to color code meetings or all day events or week long vacations, etc. for each of them? I have my calendar currently in pink, so I'd use other colors for them. I've done this before at other companies, but I don't think we were using the 365 version. TYIA.

Hi Michelle. Glad you found us and you liked the video! Yes, you can color code different calendar items. When you create a new event, there is an option in the ribbon to Categorize. From there, you can pick various colors and come up with a color scheme that works for you. Hope that helps!

I'm looking for a way to create a group calendar... So, individuals don't have to share their personal calendars - but rather there would be a group calendar with a separate name - that people could simply put their out of office time slots on it. It seems like that exists but I'm not finding a way to do it... Thanks!

Hi! Thanks for writing. There are a few ways you can do this. If you click on the Calendar icon, you can see your calendars. You can also create a new one. Whichever you choose to share, right click and go to Sharing Permissions. If you want people to be able to write, then give them write permission when you add people to it. If you have an email admin, the admin may be able to set up a company wide calendar for everyone. Hope that helps!

i work in india for a Uk based company when i have to schedule meeting with them according to their time how will i be able to see both india and uk time zone in same calendar column

Hi! Thanks for watching! You can open a calendar and then go to Week View (Home|Week (under the Arrange group)). And then where you see the hours to the left of the calendar, right click and you can go to TimeZones. In there, there is an option to choose a second time zone. Hope that helps!

Performance Tip:-- If your Outlook Calendar is slow to load when you switch from Outlook mail, try this. Remove the weather display by changing the settings using these menu options in order File > Options > Calendar scroll down to the 'Weather' section and uncheck the 'Show weather on Calendar' box then click OK. You should find that calendar refreshing becomes faster. It worked for me anyway. ;)

Is it possible to export data from a calendar shared with you to a word or excel doc

Yes, it should be. Open Outlook and click File | Open & Export and choose the Import/Export option. In the Import and Export Wizard, select Export to a file and then click Next. Next, select Comma Separated Values and click Next then select the Calendar option in the folder list and click Next. Finally, choose a location to save the exported file and click Finish.
