Nothing is free. You end up paying a lot more in taxes. School education is a good point. Don't compare healthcare with India as the healthcare in Canada is bit more complicated there and not to forget the extra time taken for treatment sometimes.

Lol nobody moves to Canada expecting to make more money, I mean if anybody thought so, they will be really disappointed. I have been in Canada for the past 7 years, my pay did increase slighly from the time I came but its still not so much that you feel you can be like a crorepati. People need to drop their expectations. Canada is for people to work hard and live a decent and calm and most importantly an honourable life, where you can live life without owing anything to others. I will still say Canada is thousand times better than India. If you want to make money maybe you should try somewhere else like US or Middle East but this is a country where you will be valued and respected no matter how much you earn and what you do.

Glad to see you guys are so positive about Canada. I tend to agree with the points you made but the main reason new skilled immigrants are welcomed here is to make sure there is a sufficient tax paying working populace to cover for all the retired and soon to retire aging folks.
@InTheNorthCanada3 жыл бұрын
Of course that is the bigger picture and a very long term view. But personally my logic is this, if they only cared about taxes, why would they invite new immigrants who tend to have lower income and hence generate less tax. Additionally new immigrants/refugees tend to qualify for many Canadian govt Tax credits and Benefits, and other services. Of course Canada has an aging population, and they want to keep the economy fueled. So they have opted for immigration to keep the economy booming with working young population- you know the demand, supply, business cycle stuff. At least this is what I think, but could be other way round as well.

yeh rahi hamari PR story - kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5WUYqysqa2ooK8 Agar Express Entry se aana hai toh at least 1 year ka full time work experience to chahiye hi, and uske alawa IELTS General / CELPIP mei english ke liye kamm se kamm 6 points in all 4 sections, yani ki CLB 7. And job ka NOC code bhi skill level 0, A or B ka hona chahiye. Express Entry ke alawa aur bhi tareeke hain, jaise ki study visa and fir yahan padhai karke, job dhoondh ke PR ke liye apply karna. and PNP program bhi hain.

Hey, I've watched many of your and also of different KZbinrs videos who are now in Canada and I also wanna go to Canada and study there but I found that the fees are too high and I am coming from a middle class family. May I know how can I overcome this challenge? Is there any special scholarship programme or anything which can help me with the financial challenge?
@InTheNorthCanada3 жыл бұрын
Hi Yash, one of the ways you can try is apply for a study loan from a bank in your country and depending on your academic record, family income, etc etc they might offer a scholarship. There are a few KZbin channels in fact that provide information on that process. If you are reaching out to us from India, I have come across few videos from this channel "We Make Scholars" and found them to be useful. We are not promoting them or anything and neither have we take any service from them ever, just sharing because they are sharing informational videos that might help you about the process. Another way is, most universities/colleges here in Canada have their dedicated scholarship/financial aid page. So you might want to narrow down which colleges, and courses you are interested in and check out their websites for details and see what qualifications you might meet for their scholarship programs. But to actually get the scholarships, you will need to first apply to the college's admission program in most cases and then submit the scholarship application.

How much is the wait time for appointment with doctor?
@InTheNorthCanada3 жыл бұрын
Depends, with family doctors sometimes it can be a longer wait time. There are two ways to go about it - 1- If it is a serious emergency, just rush to emergency in hospital 2- If it is not as serious, but still very concerning and you cannot wait but your doctor doesn't have an appointment soon enough, there are a lot of walk-in clinics as well. There are even mobile apps like MediMap or Doctr - ER wait times in Canada, which can help you find a close walk-in location, and tell you what are the wait times in those locations.

Getting a job directly is difficult but not impossible. You can watch this video of ours and find useful links in the description box - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqbXfJSveJl7o8U Meanwhile, you can consider other methods such as Express Entry. Start with calculating your CRS score here- www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp You need an IELTS General score. Once you have an idea of the score, look at the latest cut-off. You will get an idea if your score is enough to get through Express Entry, otherwise begin looking at PNP programs.

hey Pratik, though I am not an immigration consultant.
