Yeah I thought that too. Being underwater or in the clouds freaks me out. I literally won't even go in a pool in real life. I've a shoulder injury that messes up my arm's range of motion & thus I can't swim, but even if I could I'd still feel scared being in water, even just up to my waist since I have seizures that are random (not epileptic) & I could drown.

My scariest moment in gaming was in Subnautica. I was exploring around the back of the Aurora, looking for some sort of material, I don't remember what it was specifically. I knew it was dangerous and I knew what beast lurked in the water with me. I was armed with a stasis rifle. I subconsciously had it in my mind that I would hear it before I saw it, but this was simply not the case. Out of nowhere, without making a sound, a Reaper Leviathan came from behind me and attacked, suddenly roaring at me and holding me with its mandibles. This surprised me so much that I screamed and accidentally took a screenshot. Afterward, I hung that screenshot of the reaper attacking me on the wall of my base, in the bedroom I created. Every time I looked at it, I was reminded of that terrifying moment. Eventually, I went back and killed that reaper, armed with only a stasis rifle and a heat blade.

Huh, my parents let me play mature games but never Silent Hill level of scary. Though they did let me play less scary horror games. I'm 31 now & just fine mentally. I don't hurt people (unless they hurt me or a friend, then I hurt them), don't want to shoot anyone despite playing tons of shooters & having over 12 guns including an AK which is my favorite despite not being the most accurate of them. I don't want to get into magic despite playing lots of games where you use magic. The Joy of Creation Story Mode was TERRIFYING when I started playing... the first night where your in a dark bedroom as a 4 year old with GIANT FREAKING CONTORTED HAUNTED ROBOTS staring at you was so spoopy for me (I was 12 I believe). I almost had a heart attack once. I had been play Jurassic world evolution for hours and I only really save when I exit the game. Not good on my part. My internet was having issues, no big deal, but my playstation wouldn't load the one screen and I had to resart my playstation. I hadn't saved my game andI was convinced I I lost it. I didn't thank god, but I almost starting crying because I thought I lost hours of work.

You know, I understand your panic freeze. I have those with zombies, everyone loves their zombie games, movies, books and series. Scariest gaming moment was when i was playing ARK for the first time with my brother, and we were walking along the beach talking and stuff when apparently i got to close to the beach, and this giant crocodile like thing, popped out of the ocean and eat me in one bit, and it was such a jumpscare, and from now on, if you say ARK that flipping crocodile is what i think of, like it wasn’t even supposed to be a horror game!!

My scariest moment in gaming, that I can still remember, was in Fallout 4. I was exploring Boston and saw a yaoi guoi. I was low level so I ran, I turned around to check if it was still chasing me and it was right behind me. It scared me so much just because I thought it was farther away and it was breathing down my neck when I looked.
