What makes terrordactyl even scarier is that the swinging gives the feeling you are about to smash into the rocks on the side of the cliff.

As someone who has been on Falcon Fury , I suggest you close your eyes and try and pin point when you fall. Luckily it only last 3-4 seconds, but unlike most drop tower , Falcon Fury tips the seats at an 130° angle so, you basically look at a 335 drop face first and the only place you can look is the ground and nowhere else. Also since it tilts the seats, your body is lifted off the fucking seat and the only things protecting you from falling off the ride is a harness. (This just my experience with the ride but after it dropped , I couldn't breather for 2-3 seconds only when it when back to it's 90° angle I could breathe. I think it's because I was so nervous , so not all people might have this experience.

You are completely correct, Florida Native here and I've been on Falcons Fury dozens of times. Although I am a self proclaimed thrill seeker, I'm also deathly terrified of heights. I don't mind as much any rides that have an over the head or full body restraint as those make me feel safe but anything that makes me feel like I'm dangling is an instant panic attack. I love Falcons Fury so much but the part that I cannot stand is as you mentioned, when you get to the top and are facing the floor, you literally come out of your seat and your whole body is pretty much laying on just the restraint with all your weight. It feels like there is nothing but a seatbelt between you and your death. It is without a doubt the scariest ride element out there for me

I went on Falcon's Fury today with my dad. It was so fun and exhilarating! The scariest part is definitely facing down, because your whole body shifts agains the secure thing and it feels like you're gonna fall out.. the drop is somewhat relieving lol

I've done that tower jump in Las Vegas, and the worst part is that you lean out over nothing- and you have to choose to let go. I was thinking I would just woohoo my way off of it, but it's a lot more difficult when you're 80 stories up connected to a little wire and it's your choice to let go and fall out.

I went to Glenwood's cavern adventure and it was amazing!!! I love thrill rides and on the Giant Canyon Swing Ride on both sides and it was amazing, but I have to say as a scarier ride it was the mine drop because it was so sudden and you were out of your seat and it was breathtaking, I highly recommend this to any thrill connoisseurs.

Hearing you describe Falcons Fury immediately made me think of Ikaros as I like to visit Gröna lund with my sister at least once every summer (if possible that is), and altough it's by no means the best park for thrillseekers I'd still highly recommend it for the beautiful views you get of Stockholm and the frankly impressive layout-- Basically, thanks for mentioning Ikaros ^^

listen, I love thrill rides, but falcon’s fury makes my heart beat out of my chest every time I ride it. It looks high, but once you’re up top, it’s HIGH. And when it tilts, your entire body weight is pressing against the bars and istg it’s so terrifying…ly fun. Best drop tower experience you could ever have, but pressing against those bars man ... gets me every time.

I’ve been on the swing at Glenwood Caverns and OH BOY. The seat facing the outside is scarier since you feel like you’ll get launched off and the change of perspective with the mountains is crazy. The seat facing inside is less scary BUT when you go out you can see the thousand foot drop the awaits you below

The tallest ride I've been on personally was the Wind Seeker from Cedar Point, it's more of a chill ride than anything but damn the view is nice, and feels so bizzare feeling being so high, legs dangling from a sort of swing, a reinforced swing at that. Plus funny enough it literally plays Harry Potter music on the way up and the way down lol. It's not for anyone who's scared of heights though, but for those who are curious or more brave, it's a nice introduction to taller rides. I went on the ride twice, due to being in choir back when I was in middle school, we went there twice to perform and to be judged, and we did great!

I went on Falcons Fury in August for my brothers birthday and omg it’s terrifying. I didn’t know they wouldn’t tilt us and when it finally dropped it was like I was floating like I wasn’t even on the seat anymore but still I’m glad I went on, plus the line was super short. If you go I recommend going as your last ride !!

Ok fun story I’ve been wanting to say for awhile So I have always wanted to design theme park attractions my whole life. ever since I was about six I’ve had a notebook that I’ve drawn my ideas in. And after looking back I realized I designed multiple attractions before they were ever built. This includes, I a drop tower that faces you at a 90 degree angle, the design for the drop slides at volcano bay, and a idea for a roller coaster in another country called dueling dragons (not like the defunct one an universal) which is a dueling coaster that is an inverted coaster with a normal coaster on the same track (it’s hard to describe, go look it up). I still have my eight year old drawings in my notebook to see what other ideas of mine get stolen. Sorry for the long comment I just wanted to tell this story.

I used to be afraid of heights until my sister and her friend made me go on Falcon's fury. At the end of the ride, it was totally worth it and it completely made me get over my fear. The scenery and stuff on the ride was AMAZING

By the way, Keene, NH now has a small Amusement Park called "Runway Fun Park". It features Eight Classic Flat Rides(Tilt-a-Wirl, Scrambler, Spinning Saucers, Merry-go-round, Ferris Wheel, Kiddie-Cars, Dragon Mini Coaster, and Go Karts), along with a Mini Golf Course.

Was just at Busch Gardens. That ride is great! Rollercoaster wise none of them are a joke but I LOVED Sheik-ra. I have been on every Stratosphere ride. I want to try the Colorado ones.

I have rode the ride with the huge upside-down arm thing, but it was different because I think it a little bit smaller and faster maybe, but I remember it because after the 5th time going upside-down it stayed in the air while everyone was facing the ground upside-down for a few seconds and ended after slowing down.

For those in Asia, there's also a Skyjump and bungee jump at the Macau Tower (which itself is a slightly shorter clone of the Vegas Stratosphere). It's expensive, but worth it!
