1:46 - I'm probably letting my imagination run away with me, but the fact that the father was hacked up the worst, and especially his face makes me wonder if that body wasn't really him and he managed to kill his family (and the two young guests) fake his own death and escape. I'm probably full of it, and slandering an innocent victim, but somehow the idea keeps nagging at me. 7:45 - I don't know, but I suspect that axes were used in murders a lot back then because they were used for a lot of ordinary things like chopping wood, etc. so almost every household had one readily available. 11:21 - Somehow the idea of the Christmas tree still there with gifts under it just makes this seem even sadder. 15:32 - "What would possess you to kill your own parents?" Well, you said it yourself, Ayman, the father was incredibly demanding and while is sounds like the mother was more to be pitied than censured, the boys must have found her hard to live with.

With few exceptions, it's a calm haunting, like lights turning on, doors opening, and occasionally disembodied voices and noises. There’s a house close to where I live (like 10 houses away ((but there’s a 5 minutes drive between each house)) every time someone moves in it burns on its own. It’s always built up again but it’s only made of wood, it’s known as the dollhouse and 7 different families have moved into it before it was closed permanently a few months ago. My parents almost moved in before I was born and I’m glad they didn’t

I was living in an apartment by myself. Two men tried to break in. I thought about saying who is it loud and deep like a man. I was afraid they'd know I'm a woman alone, so I grabbed a knife and hid behind the door, waiting to stab at will. Thank God a big black man lived next door, he came out and scared the two little white guys. I thanked him, and my Dad for installing the peephole and deadbolt.

Oh yeah I'm allegedly related to Macy Donahue a woman accused of Witchcraft even though they dropped the charges because she was a devout Christian and she could read the Bible word for word. I'm like a 9th generation great-granddaughter.

Ayman: Haunting over a piece of land... you're dead, move on! In the next breath: If i were one of those victims i would make sure no one ever enjoyed the house either! Conclusion: Hypocrite with double standards

I know more than most people about the Bell Witch. I can't wait to go up there. And for any wondering, he called her Old Cate because of a neighbor he feuded with named Cate, who was still alive when the haunting occurred. The haunting was only nicknamed that because the spirit vexed him as much as she did and had even accused her of witchcraft. This was never proven that she bewitched him but he continued to call the haunting by the name of Old Cate anyway. To this day this is what the spirit is referred to.

Good list. With the exception of the Lizzie Borden house, Menedez Brothers, and Villsca Axe murders, these were houses, of which I hadn’t heard. I always feel old when you mention you weren’t even born during some of the events you feature.
