I'm surprised there is no Ray Bradbury on this list. I haven't heard of some of these but have read Dune and the first Enders Game and Flowers for Algernon book. Just last month I read one of the Vorkosigan series, I've read a couple others in the series also. This was interesting, thanks for sharing.

Bradbury has one book lower down on the list. I'm thinking of doing a video going through the full 100 (without as much editing). Interested?

These are very eclectic choices (to me at least) no Asimov, no Le Guin, no Bradbury, no Vonnegut no 19th century classics, and Cyberpunk like neuromancer and snow crash books were out as well? I would also think Douglas Adams would at least get a nod from university students from Adelaide in 1999 if I read the original post correctly. Myself ive read "Moon is..", Algernon I do not think you can't help but appreciate it, but I don't think I need to re-read, and Ive read basically everything in Enderverse, but I personally prefer the Bean "Quartet" to the Ender one. As those get more and more religious and philosophical and just too ponderous (I think Speaker is still really good). The Bean quartet, I think just more actiony and similar reading level to Ender's Game. They're about the wars on Earth by Ender's battle school friends and Peter's rise to Hegemon after Ender enters lightspeed travel (stuff just summarized in basically one page at the End of the original). I think I had to finally put Children of the Mind down at like age 13 as way too much for me, but was able to just fly through the Bean books as they were coming out! I still just prefer them now because I read with such excitement at an early age, even if im now old enough to appreciate the heady concepts of Ender's adulthood books

Yeah, I do still plan on going through the top 100 which has some of the Asimov and Clarke. Still, not a lot. And it’s been way too long since I read an Enderverse book!
