In Disneyland, in what is now the Guardians of the Galaxy Ride, there is a creature that is a part of the Collector's gallery during the wait scenes (you can find it in what had been the boiler room of Tower of Terror, when you're standing on one of the high platforms) that looks like one of the old iterations of the Yeti from the Matterhorn. It seems like they took one of the old animatronics of him that they weren't using anymore and just plopped him in a case so he could be a part of the "collection." I think that that's pretty cool if I'm right about it.

When I went to WDW I saw that grandma in haunted mansion then did in that progress ride. I saw the grandma in that ride and compared the two and knew they were the same. I think they put the grandma in there to show that she died. But you see her alive in the progress ride. Great Vid! :)

I never realized that in both Haunted Mansion and Phantom Manor would also have recycled animatronics. But the example in the Haunted Mansion is one of the animatronics from Pirates Of The Caribbean.

Missed my favorite one. The now extinct gangsters from the great movie ride are also molds used on pirates. I forget exactly where on pirates they appear but I took a walking tour of movie ride and they kept a picture of the animatronics on pirates hidden in a nearby prop mailbox for tours to see.

Yeah. It was the animatronic gangsters Squid and Beans. There were the ones on the same side of the scene were Mugsy would make his entrance. The are in the jail cell scene together on pirates in the first cell you come to, not the one directly beside the dog.

I’ve noticed a lot of these, over the years... Both from when I was able to get out to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and in the years since, watching video footage of them. And, in a few cases, I’m sure it was something akin to what Red Letter Media’s Mr. Plinket says: ‘You may not have noticed, but your brain did’. Still, it’s incredibly cool to see a whole video dedicated to so many recycled animatronics!

I have a theory that maybe you could look into! The drunken pirate that's holding onto the other drunken pirate (they both have one foot off the ground) showed up sometime in the last 2 years. renaissance violin patricia and japanese sonny eclipse were my first thoughts... since the second one wasn't talked about in this video i'll talk about it now. in tokyo's star tours they recycled sonny eclipse's mold and made him flesh colored and had him speaking japanese, it's honestly really weird... i think they might have removed it by now but i'm not sure since i've never actually been to tokyo.

Hi TPMvids ! I live next to Disneyland Paris and I had notice that many of Pirates Of The Carabbean 's Audio Animatronics have been recycled. Last year they have changed our Star Tours to the new version and they recycle C3PO animatronic into the pilote of the ship (several ships so several C3POs). I love your videos and all things about Disney. I never miss any of your videos. bye ! :)

The pirate on the bridge with the eye patch is actually the same face mold as the older woman patting the wench on the shoulder in the original auction scene. The same mold is used for “Great Caesar’s Ghost” sitting at the head of the table in the ballroom of the Haunted Mansion.

I’ve always theorized that the Native American shaman/storyteller along the Rivers of America at Disneyland was either a cloned mechanism of Abraham Lincoln, or a reused animatronic from a previous version of Abe. The movements are too close for there not to be a connection.
