Top 10 Spider-Man Games

With great Spider-Man video games also comes the great responsibility to rank them in a Top 10 list. That’s right: since the first Spider-Man game in 1982 there have been dozens of Spidey games, ranging from side-scrolling web-’em-ups to open-world swing-fests. We’ve taken all of those friendly neighborhood adventures into consideration and come up with a ranking that includes even PlayStation’s latest, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. So strap on your web-shooters and dive off a skyscraper as we swing into our list of the 10 best Spider-Man video games!

Spider-man: Edge of Time is way better than Shattered dimensions. It may have fewer spideys, but Peter and Miguel have their own distinct personalities and movesets. They actually interact with each other. It has an excellent initial hook. It has an engaging story with twists. It had its own terrifying version of Monster Ock.

No way in hell Spider-Man PS4 is better than PS2 Spider-Man 2. I can still fire up SM2 today and see dynamic web swinging animations I’ve never seen before, and that game’s 19 years old. SMPS4 feels incredibly dated just 5 years later. There’s a much better case for Miles and MSM2 though.

IGN's rating system is incredibly inconsistent. Mostly depends on the choice of the reviewer that's currently reviewing the games. It depends on what he thinks would be a nine and what he thinks would be an eight. Because of this stupidity, all of the Spider-Man games have very inconsistent ratings.
