Oh, “Giorgio”! Such glorious memories of sunny, blue, summer skies…lunching with my beautiful mother at I. Magnin tearoom (with fashion show, of course), then exploring the shops on Rodeo Drive and, lastly, getting down to shopping business at Giorgio Beverly Hills! Pure heaven! I can clearly see the cheerful decor…the yellow and white awnings, and vividly remember the displays of that most delicious fragrance. We both loved it. I recently purchased a sealed, original gift box of the EDT, a hand lotion, and miniature Parfum (all perfectly preserved). I wore it last week for the first time in perhaps 35 years. It was like a direct ticket back in time! I couldn’t stop smiling. Pure sunshine. Those were the days…and these are the days, a continuum of joy. IYKYK…and I know you do. Thank you, for inspiring me to reconnect with “Giorgio of BH” (from a past review). You are a blessing!

I am surprised that Cristalle Eau Verte is not in your Top 10. For me it definitely is because it‘s the freshest and most longlasting citrussy smell I know. My other 9 would be: Chanel „Paris Biarritz“, Houbigant „Pivoine Souveraine“ and „Orangers en fleur“, Goutal „Eua d‘hadrien“ and „ L‘ile au thé“, Hermes „ Eau de Merveilles“, Guerlain Aqua Allegoria „Nettare di Sole“ and „Bergamote Calabria“, Grès „Extrême pureté“ and Rochas „Eau de Rochas“. Try layering L‘eau d‘Hadrien with Bergamote Calabria - it‘s magnifique 😊

What, according to you, is the difference between the OG and the reformulated Guerlain Nottare di Sole? I bought the new one (with ‘Guerlain’ in non-cursive letters on the front - I assume that’s the new one?) yesterday… please tell me it’s not totally trash now 😂😂 I loved it in the store. But I haven’t smelled the OG 😂

I have a big challenge with my love of big fragrances and for me the more bombastic the better. The white flowers for me however clash terribly with food. Georgio seriously I could not even eat anything if I caught a whiff of that I would have to walk away. It’s a meal in itself. People just need to be careful about when they wear around food and dining out. But if it has clove nutmeg saffron cinnamon then I can handle as it echoes the food I usually cook at home. Something citrusy all fine around south East Asian food it won’t destroy the aroma. White flowers no. I love the list everything on it - but please don’t wear white flowers to my dinner party 😂pop it in your purse and put on late in the evening when things get naughty…. In fact after a meal anything goes! Wear your worst! Tobacco, civet, tuberose whatever it’s all fun.

Sounds like a great diet plan… lol. Wear perfume so you wont’t have an appetite… could be a slogan for some weird ad. Lol. But white florals are in cuisine… just look at jasmine tea… its quote popular… 💖

@@essence-tiallydacob9611 indeed I’ll swap out my coffee and cake for a gourmand see what happens. Totally - I use quite a lot of rose water, orange blossom water in tagines but they are mixing with dates, saffron other spices and apologies to veggies out there the fat from meats which make it sticky and rich. Would need a sommelier to pair the perfumes with the cuisine, quite a task. But I’m kind of obsessive about food. Loving the 80s! Thanks!
