Rogue doesn’t just steal powers, she has the ability to steal power, skill and memories yes but she also has the power to steal someone’s life force and heal herself and she has what’s called a Recall genetic template, if she absorbs someone’s powers enough times she can store them for later use rather then have to reabsorb them, and they were right she had trouble with this in the beginning but then resolved said issues

Avengers Annual 10 was a very important book. 1. Not many people know that Rogue was introduced there and not in the X-men. 2. Not many know that the issue introduced Madelyn Pryor, Cyclop's future wife, mother of Cable, clone of Jean Grey, and future Goblin Queen. 3. Most importantly, it was Chris Claremont's revenge on the fact that the Avengers let Carol Danvers get raped by Immortus and still sent her back with him. Claremont created the Ms Marvel character before he was on the X-men and didn't appreciate how she was treated in the Avengers.

When in X-Men evolution series she had God like control over every past ability absorbed. She had both Jamies )Multiple Man) and Mystiques abilities. Fighting multiple yourself would be mentally unnerving. She was God for that one episode.

Imagine with Jean Grey and Pro X psychic ability, wolverines healing ability, every hero and villains ability. Rogue was God. Shadow Cats phazing. Mystiiques shapeshifting, Multiple Mans extra players cache. There was literally no one or nothing that could touch that, not even Franklin Richards. (because she also absorbed Scarlet Witches Reality warping, and Destinys precognition. There was a lot of abilities that put her beyond until Apocalypse touched her. Which had she been in control, he would not have been able to do.

Even more important and related to #1, in Xtreme X-Men, Sage jump started Rogue’s power to a new level. She was able to recall any power she had ever absorbed, as well as using telekinesis, telepathy, and illusions to make others basically have new power. She essentially gave three of her teammates Wolverine’s, Sabertooth’s, and the Hulk’s powers to fight off an alien invasion of Madripoor. She did this while also manifesting multiple powers at the same time that she had absorbed in the past to fight an air battle against the same aliens.

I loved it when rouge gained the ability to recall past absorbed power but I can see where it was an issue it the comics...I think they should have stuck with professor x suppressing those powers as I caused her great MENTAL anguish to be plaged by all the past memories and personalities of those she touched rather than she would just be to crazy strong. Hope they get the casting right for her in the MCU. One of my top 5 fave X-men

How about a list of people Rogue's powers didn't work on, or didn't work properly on. I can think of three right off hand. From her first appearance in Avengers Annual 10 she couldn't absorb the powers of the Vision because he wasn't human or Wonder Man because of the nature of his powers. And then there was the time she tried to Sauron's powers (or was he trying to absorb her's?) Either way their powers were so similar in nature that that cancelled each other out.
