Was going to say this. Besided which, Starlord dates all the way back to the 1970s, not 2004. Starfox as well for that matter.

Correct. As a matter of fact, Star-Lord first appeared in the old Marvel Premiere black and white mag, with artwork by a couple of guys named Byrne and Austin. I believe I remember them doing some other book that sold an issue or two.
