Angelina Jolie's role in "Girl, Interrupted" almost makes me forget Winona Ryder was the intended, main character of that film. I was a teenager upon it's release and the impact of her acting still stays with me to this day.

Though he was nominated for supporting actor at Oscars. I don't really think he was in a supporting role. Producers just submit lead actors' name in the supporting actor category for getting an oscar nod and/or win.

Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in Tombstone has always been called "show stealing" & an amazing performance. Robert Downey Jr tho in Tropic Thunder would have been a "safe" mainstream pick, shocked it didn't make the list.

RDJ wasn't even the biggest show-stealer in Tropic Thunder. I've never heard a louder collective gasp from a theater when everyone realized that Tom Cruise was Les Grossman.
