Arowana are awesome fish! My father used to own a Silver Arowana when he was younger. At least in his 20's. He never had any tankmates though. But he was always trying to jump out of the tank.

So funny you mention Creatures ‘n Critters. It’s that exact store that got me into the hobby 30+ years ago. We used to ride our bikes there after school and one day they were giving gold fish away. Of course we took some, went home and had no where to keep them. So back to the store we went with our mom to get fish bowls! And the rest as they say is history!

I have a now 15” a silver Arowana sharing a tank with my Brichardis. Yes, they’re doing good together. The Arowana was a juvie when I got him, about 6-7”. I dropped them in the rank at the same time.

As long as people don’t feed oscars “ feeder fish “ i am cool with them. So called feeder fish are one of the most abused fish in the hobby.

I have silver arowana with pbass and bichirs, it's a good combination, you can feed arowana first with cricket because i also have gecko that eat cricket, then feed pbass with little fish, the last give the bichirs sinking pelet they love it

I love your content bro your on it with all the fish massive knowledge 😂 I think I love this channel because you love oscars man my first aggressive fish they got me into the hoddy I currently have 4 and in my experience with chiclids and aggressive fish it’s hit or miss and you have to have love for these animals to take a risk I have like 6 tanks usually just house them together and if they are overly aggressive just switch them my patriot is the most aggressive had to move him he tore up my jacks my pleco moved him with my oscars he picked on the one that was smaller than him so I moved her over and the patriot just got in line

what about creating problems for erawanas with tankmates swimming below-- I have learned that this makes the erawanas nervous and they are constantly trying to look below, and that constant looking can cause the notorious dropeye problem for the erawanas.

I used to have Jaguar cichlid that tried to pair off with an Oscar. It was interesting to see a pair of Oscars on one side of the tank and an Oscar and a Jaguar cichlid trying to pair off on the other

I've always liked having a redtail catfish with my arowana. They'll eat all the scraps or food that falls to the bottom that the arowana doesn't eat.

I'm in the beginning of cycling my 10 gallon tank And I notice not one person told me if the rotten food on the bottom should be pick up and cleaned.. after the Cycling and i am ready for my fish? What do i do with the food on the bottom people told me to put fakes in there because i use api stress coat and api zmth and that is a Bacteria so then someone said i would put fish flakes in so the Bacteria can eat the food? Step by step on how to Cycle your tank with the API products and flakes, also- i did some water changes too but i always do put a tiny more in then it says .. not too much but just always think that its safe to do so but that's not my question my question is! What do WE DO WITH THE FOOD ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TANK THAT ROT.. WHEN PUTTING FISH IN THERE YOU ALL SAID NOT TO AT ALL CLEAN THE TANK WHEN FISH GO IN WHAT ABOUT WHEN YOU DO IT MY WAY! HOW CAN YOU KNOW TO LEAVE THE FOOD ON BOTTOM OR CLEAN IT UP AFTER THE Cycling process is done! Api stress coat Api stress zyme Fish flakes that's what i use to Cycle my tank it's been about a month I understand my tank is not ready yet so I'm not rushing You all did a show about the beginning fish people the other day but what about step by step on how to get a new tank ready? Hmmm few months back silver arrowana have become very cheap here in India... 400 rupees or around 5 US dollars... Mass production effect I guess 🤔 still too big for my tank so no chance of getting one...
