Great video. I was a huge Turtles fan in the early 90's. Had a bunch of the figures etc. I got rid of them but recently picked up the Neca Turtles at Wa Mart along with Super Shredder. I would like to get Splinter and Shedder, Raph and Casey, and the foot soldiers. Maybe Tokka and Razar just to have the set.

I used to have the entire first run of the toys when they came out back in the early 90s. But sadly when I moved out I gave them all to my younger brothers and they have been thrown out many many years ago. One day I'll re buy them all again

Great video and I appreciate your approach to “keeping” comics while simultaneously continuing to invest in them... it does to some degree seem risky though depending on how much you really want to keep something especially in today’s market. Tons of great information here though thank you for hearing!
@ComicBookInvestments3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I only do that for certain books. Like about less than 1%. Most of them I price at or close to the cheapest available. Because I want them to sell. But a few I price much higher. Either I want to “keep” them or I think they will skyrocket soon so I factor that price in

#2 had a 15,000 1st print run not 30,000 as that number is for the 2nd print. Also 1st app of April, Baxter Stockman & the Mousers.

Still waiting for 3 pretty big TMNT books to come back from Eastman signing. 🤔 TMNT 1, 3rd print, Adventures 1 newsstand, and 95 limited variant. And, you’ll get to 1000 soon. 👏

those are some good books, I hope they come back the grades you are hoping :)

@@EricaFurr No update on last check. I did get a notification that because of overflow the books were being sent to Eastman so I don’t know if it’s a back-and-forth kind of thing. Kind of used to waiting on CGC at this point. Thanks!

@@ComicBookInvestments Thanks. Ever done a video on cracking open graded books for signature? I’ve had a generally good experience but one knock down from a 9.8 to a 9.6. Fortunately all these are raw and will be freshly graded. Another great video. Thanks again
@ComicBookInvestments3 жыл бұрын
No I haven’t. I’ve cracked books before but not for a signature. But I guess you could.

Nice list. I picked up a 3 NYCC CGC SS 9.0 from Kevin’s personal collection about 2 years ago. Would probably grade bump too. I respect that you sell stuff but man, from one TMNT lover to another, if you love it why sell it? I can’t see selling most of my books. If I would I’d sell my multiples and specs. What’s more money in the bank?? Enjoy the vids. Turtle Power!
@ComicBookInvestments3 жыл бұрын
Wow u got 3 nycc. Only 497 to go and u got them all. Well I kinda have to sell. This is what I do for a living. If I started to keep books back for my own personal collection. Then it would never end lol. I would always be keeping books back and never selling them. Then I’d be homeless but with a ton of comics lol.
@Hofftimusprime13 жыл бұрын
@@ComicBookInvestments I only have one TMNT 3 NYCC but it’s a 9.0. That’s all I need. But hey, I get it. You just really seem to like the Turtles and so do I and I know they would be the last books I’d sell. Just saying some things are worth more than money. Keep up the good work.

A Gobbledygook #2 in CGC 8.0 sold for $18k in March 2020, so how do you figure a 9.8 only being worth $40k? Not to mention, the mere thought of anyone ever finding a Gobbledygook #1 or #2 in 9.8 is ridiculous as the books were notorious for having manufacturing defects.
@ComicBookInvestments3 жыл бұрын
The only one that appear on Gocollect and GPA of past sales are the one I have in my video. Thats what I use to calculate my data....but ya finding a 9.8 isn't possible, its more of a hypothetical

Good list... however, # 2 print run is 15k ,not 30k ...just a heads up 😉
@ComicBookInvestments3 жыл бұрын
Ya i did a little digging and I found some sites said 30k and some said 15k, So I wasnt sure which it exactly was, but now thinking about it 15k seems more right....since #1 first print has only 3k

@@ComicBookInvestments Exactly..the 1st print # 2 is 15k...2nd print is 30k....still relatively low print numbers and great investments while price is still reasonable

TMNT #1 first print are becoming extremely unattainable. You can search Ebay daily and see not 1 copy for sale. They are extremely rare and the ones who are willing to sell are going to ask major top dollars to let it go
@ComicBookInvestments3 жыл бұрын
There is still quite a few on ebay right now, the one I saw before for 175k is no longer there, probably sold privately. But ya if you want one, you gotta pay through the nose to get it, but you still technically could get one

If one book sells for a crazy or one time dope pays too much dues not set value. Too many of these out there. No way is anyone paying these single high bids as a ground floor price. That’s even w/o these shill bids. eBay is a desolation of price fixing.

I agree with u on the Raphael #1. That’s why I mentioned it. But for the most part all these sales were accurate

You think all the really expensive Turtles books move via private sale? Avoid taxes, anonymous sales & zero tracking. These just don’t show up as often they should at these prices on any public asked.
@ComicBookInvestments3 жыл бұрын
I think there are some. But I’d say majority of sales are tracked
