Haha. I remember back when no one sleeved their cards. When people first started to everyone was flabbergasted. “Why are you spending money to put your cards in those plastic things?” I still have all my old damaged cards I played with back in the day. Good memories.

I only double sleeve a single commander deck of mine. It's 90% foils. Hopefully, it keeps them from turning into Pringles

Double sleeving??? That's what I do with my expensive commander decks. One nerd once accused me of cheating thinking I had more than 99 cards in my library

I double sleeve but its for the sake of card condition incase i ever trade. The duals i had for 20 years had been double sleeved since i had them so i got lucky to get nm pricing on them when i sold them off while every spent their taxes and stimmie checks. 😂

Double sleeving is fine since I love having art sleeves as my outter layer but also I have legit spills of drinks during a 4 hour commander game lol. Also net decking is hard not to do these days with MTGO and Arena out there.

Ha. Net decker Eric is so true…$2000 deck but drives granny’s hand-me-down 1994 Honda Civic with bashed in fenders and the muffler dragging

The tier one thing is what gets me the most, I understand wanting to win with a crazy combo but when you do it turn 3 or 4 at a large table then what was the point of joining the pod? Then there are the elitists who will trash a niche use card I bring up just because it's not a top meta combo piece.just because you don't know how to use the card doesn't mean it's useless, just look at Maskwood Nexus and The Ozolith. They were good cards on release but the prices were always low because of the niche uses, I saw huge potential and now the prices have gone through the roof because people finally realized how busted those effects are.

I forcibly removed a guy from my LGS for having an explicit anime playmat at the owners request. This was why he stopped selling Yu-Gi-Oh as well.

Reject anime tiddy playmats, embrace themed playmats based on mana colors, mechanics or interests. In my case, I like using a playmat based on Caesar's Legion's banner from Fallout New Vegas because I not only do I play a lot of Mardu/Aristocrat/Sacrifice/etc, but I also love Fallout New Vegas.

Funny 4 commanders deck is Funny (2 partner 2 companions) or 5 commanders if you break the rules with doctor who stuff, check with your play group

Are you a net decker if you build a deck that is tier one but you built it before it was tier one and the value of what you build doubled in price since you bought it.

yeah i can feel that Special Card guy. in Our LGS we have a dude that uses only proxies usually with some horrile secret lair artworks and of course of Cards that cost 50$+ if you would buy them. That annoying as hell to us normal people

The first two seem at odds. Either you care about preserving your cards, or you don't. That little extra effort won't kill you.

I don't get sleeving and using a playmat. Then putting the mat on top of a store's table playmat.

As someone who loves playing with a mat, I think its part flair and part organization. I like that in my own mind my mat is MY playspace. My deck has a spot that it goes, my graveyard has a spot, etc. It simply helps me stay on top of my cards. But then, I have silly mats that are just cool. Sleeves just keep my cards nice and make them easy to pick up / shuffle. I like protecting my stuff, especially when there are possibilities of others touching my stuff. Not everyone is nice to other peoples belongings.

I love playmats for 2 reasons one i love having my own custom own to showcase something i like and two i play alot of counter top magic and my table has splinters badly do to being old so having the mat keeps my card safe from being stabbed :)

Double sleeving is the only way to play... I don't even like the feeling of single sleeved cards anymore lmao... I only double sleeve and I have a foiled out dimir shadow deck thats triple sleeved (only because the sleeves I'm using r JTMS sleeves and don't want them ruined) and net decking is always fun 😂... IDC if the other player is having fun as long as I'm winning and having fun... People need to stop being so sensitive ctfu.. If I'm playing a kid or someone new I'll def just play fun and not keep amazing hands. Winning is fun but watching a new player or a kid win a few games at FNM is also a feel good moment. I only play modern BTW lol.
