Japan has the world's best convenience stores and I'll show you the 3 major chains: 7-Eleven, Lawson and Familymart! I'll also tell you my top 10 picks from Japanese convenience stores so you know what to get if you have a chance to visit Japan! You will see them everywhere, and sometimes multiple different convenience stores right next to each other. You can find cheap meals, great drinks, yummy snacks, and more! You can also get so many errands done in these stores! They are amazing!
My top 10 picks of Japnaese "conbini":
1. Onigiri - riceballs (mostly around 100-200 yen each)
2. Prepared meals (around 500-800 yen per meal)
3. Hot foods (around 100-200 yen per item)
4. Libera chocolates (180 yen)
5. Ice fruit balls (about 200 yen)
6. Limited time items (price varies, but most snacks are about 200 yen each)
7. Flavored water (about 150 yen)
8. Flavored alcohol (more specifically Horoyoi, about 150 yen)
9. Magazines with freebies (usually between 650-1000 yen)
10. Tickets (for Disney parks, museum, train/bus, concerts, events, moveis, etc.)

Hi, I'm a Japanese living in Japan. Just one correction. It's not prohibited to drink in public in Japan, but Japanese people usually don't do it because it's Japanese manner or unwritten thing in Japan. She said "So you can see people walking around holding beer." But actually you won't see people with beers in their hands very often, and whenever I see them I think "Are they alcoholics?" " Those Japanese are very ill mannered..."

The conbinis are convenience 100% with well-kept toilets, free wifi, ATMs and drinkable cheap hot coffee . Your food guide was great, this bicycle traveller just took pot luck on most items, such a huge variety. Makes the conbinis in australia very drab indeed!

Thanks for making this video, it was incredibly helpful and useful advice during our trip to Japan this June. I only wish we had watched it BEFORE we arrived. In any case, we actually purchased many of the items you specifically recommended (ex: chocolate, ice balls, vitamin water etc.) It was a huge time and money-saver knowing what to look for. I never thought I'd be eating breakfast in a convenience store, and actually enjoying it. Thanks again.

Thank you for being so informative. So many KZbin channels about Japan, the host is so busy talking about themselves that the topic of the video gets lost. You really gave a lot of information about the convenience store. Love it!
