My dad was a 3 striker here in AZ. Caught his 3rd right after they enacted the 3 strikes law. He has been out of prison since 2002, hasn't had so much as a speeding ticket, and actually had his rights restored last year. He was able to vote in the last election, and now owns (legally) around 12 firearms. It's amazing. You're an amazing person Joe, and I truly enjoy watching your channel. Keep up the good work boss.

I’m sad today Joe. My friend just got out today after doing 2 years in provincial prison and has 3 years probation but he is already talking about going back to doing what he was doing that got him put where he was in the first place. I hope he doesn’t but if he does I’m going to have to tell him he can’t come around here anymore.

I got plenty of dope fiend and crackhead friends and after I quit, it felt selfish but I had to tell them all to stay away if they're shooting dope or smoking crack, learned the hard way that I just can't be around that shit, I'll probably relapse and as much as I loved some of my real good friends, I gotta put my own sobriety in front of seeing them cuz they gotta live there life and I gotta live mine and I know if I'm around people shooting dope, I'm gonna shoot dope and that'll fuck my life up...

Steve Jackson that’s so true. For me I was addicted to smoking crack and was lost for 15 years. I’m finally sober from crack and even though I’ve been sober for 6 1/2 years I still can’t be around anyone smoking it. I still get cravings every so often and I’m sure If someone was smoking it in front of me that I would relapse.
@Blunt_Man
@Blunt_Man 6 жыл бұрын
allan fulton That's rock for ya, I've been sober for 3 years and my last relapse was when I was living with a friend who was using, I found a pipe and without even thinking I'm resin hitting it and actually blowing clouds too, I didn't even enjoy the fucking high, for me it was just like I saw a pipe and immediately was smoking before I could even consciously think about it, it was weird but definitely realized I don't have control if I relapsed that easily...

Gun nerd here. It depends on state. In some states you are allowed, as a felon, to own bows or even black powder(as in old school muzzleloaders) for the purposes of hunting. If you do something stupid with it, it's still commonly an assault with a deadly weapon charge so don't be dumb about it. Black powder weapons are not considered firearms by the ATF and are therefore unregulated and do not apply to the felon prohibition, so it's left up to the states. Some states are cool with it, some aren't. If you want to get your gun rights restored as a felon, you need to seek out a gun lawyer. It's your best bet and yes, they exist. Gun laws are very complex and aren't the same from state to state, so it's smart to get one for the state you either committed the crimes/served your time in or the state of residence depending.

Or be a cop. I've heard cops aren't allowed to serve on juries. I also imagine that judges and lawyers would not be able to either. Joining the military is a pretty good way of getting out of jury duty. I was supposed to go to jury duty the week I left for bootcamp. I sent them a letter telling them I'd love to go to jury duty, but they'd have to fly me out of Great Lakes to do so.

Joe, I live in Ohio, I know from my ex's mom's boyfriend that you cannot even be in the house with a firearm, due to them being a felon, if you are then you're in some serious shit, he got two weapons charges and got 6 years, he been locked up for 21 years of his life all together, one was 11 years and that was for being a dude into a coma, he got assault with a deadly weapon, and some other charges.he did 11+5+6 Shit is crazy cause he is now 41 so he spent 2 years in free world outside of youth. Federally any gun made before 1898 is not a "firearm" it is an antique that may be owned bye anyone. Most would need black powder cartridges reloaded for them though, because smokeless would blow them up. And federal law allows felons to own any muzzle loading black powder gun including revolvers. You'd just have to check state laws on it

Actually you can own firearms as a felon in some states (even tho feds say no) and black powder guns are totally a ok in the eyes of the feds (technically black powder muzzleloading weapons are not firearms under federal law)

I mean, if you can get your hands on a well maintenanced revolver (or something like that) of that time and fitting ammunition (which might be even harder, I don't know) it'll still be perfectly fine to commit heavy crimes.

#2, yes, everything except the army. I've passed background checks free and clear and done acts of service as intensely as I had committed acts of selfishness before with this gift. That's the beauty of the system really; all the people who don't just sit there and feel bad about themselves are currently paying for that affront. When bringing it up to the recruiter he says the FBI can see it, however, the reason I didn't get in was that they couldn't find anything to judge my moral test by. Does that mean, they couldn't see it afterall?
