I bought the Hercules miter saw for $299 this weekend. I also got the Hercules stand for the regular price. I took the handle off of the bottom of the stand and mounted it between the wheels with beefier bolts and now it is perfect. It should come with a handle on both sides. The saw is a beast.

FYI I got a HF pickup truck crane ($179 retail) and switched out the hand crank with a HF 2500lb electric winch ($79 retail), mounted it to my dump trailer and it's been a lifesaver ever since. I also added a timber claw hook and I can lift tree rounds that weigh several hundred pounds easily into the trailer! At 65 years old I just can't lift that heavy stuff anymore and I can do things I would never even think of without it. I even ran a cable to a tree next to my house and lifted all the roofing materials and installed a new roof with my wife this summer using the crane and winch.

The Fortress pancake air compressor with free nailer is a good deal. However, I think I'd go with the Ridgid compressor with three nail guns and a hose for $200 at Home Depot ($100 off the usual price). The Fortress compressors may be better than the Ridgid. If they are, they aren't that much better. However, the three Ridgid nailers are professional grade -- and there's more of them!

I've also had the ICON parrot-nosed pliers for about a year. Only used them once on some rusty-ass nuts on a push mower I was taking the engine off of, but they did the trick. But that Predator trash pump is WAY overpriced in my opinion. That engine goes for $300 as a stand alone. So you're telling me that the trash pump (Oh, and the metal frame tubing) is $500? I asked the manager to waive it because the sprayer just wasted a bunch of paint, and caused a ton of extra work. He told me I had to call there corporate customer service, corporate told me I only the in store manager could do it. I went back to the store and the manager coped an attitude with me.
