"let's keep some boundaries there". Love that. I've talked to the wildlife out here and they just do not understand boundaries. What they do understand is our dogs. Love your videos, very informative and good entertainment. Boundaries.......

I really like the flail mower. Just won't fit on my garden tractor.

No, definitely won't unless it's select JD models where you can add a rear PTO and 3 point hitch.

Best solution I've found for moles is to eliminate their food source: Grubs. Grubs do enough lawn damage alone so I do multiple granular grub killer applications per season. This year being soo dry I didn't get any down yet and never saw those June bugs come out here in Central Wisc. but I plan on applying a good dose in August to keep any larvae under control. skunks and sandhill cranes locate grubs also like no one's biz. I see them in neighbor's yards tearing up the turf but for past 2yrs after I started removing grubs, I'm 95% mole and grub free.

Yeah, I've tried grub control for years. That never seemed to make a difference for me. I know some folks swear by it though.

@GoodWorksTractors Same here, did 2 years of grub treatments. Finally got results when I started using scissor traps. I now have 6 traps, use them for less than a month per year and now have 3.5 acres of mole free lawn!

Im looking at getting a BX or B series from Kubota for my yard. Debating if a flail mower would be good for regular mowing of the lawn, or if I would want a finish mower specifically for the yard. Looking at them because if it is good for finish yard, I can also change to hammer blades for more rough work when required

To keep the moles away i treat the areas with Spectricide. Get rid of the grubs (food source) then you wont get moles.

A tiller will make your lawn smooth no doubt. However, it makes the dirt fluffy. It will eventually settle leaving the earth uneven and washed out. If you do till it needs to be compacted. Theres a difference between a lawn and a garden.

You have a great point. I've used a Harley rake on my lawn, and firmly believe that's the right tool for the job

I got a separate lawn tractor to mow plus I have a JD 40" aerator and a 40" dethatcher which I recently converted to fit in a 2" tow receiver on my 3 point hitch. One accessory I regret getting is the JD lawn sweeper, just don't use it...Have a great week guys 🙋🏼‍♂️

On a video a while back you had a trailer of attachments at your property. You mentioned something about selling a few of them…frontier aerator and spreader…..are they for sale?

Looking for help! I know it's more expensive than tillers. But wouldn't a harley rake work better than a tiller? I have 2 acres I took from dense woods to yard over the last 7 years by myself. I'm struggling with the big dips and hills as well as unlevel and bumpy. It grew beautiful grass on its own but it's still not what I'd want for my kids to run around on when they are old enough. I want flat perfect lawn like a dang park hahah. I use a box blade a bit with ripper teeth but it takes a long time and just doesn't do the job I'm looking for. I have been told a harley rake (power rake, specifically the landpride pr10) would eat the grass and dirt and knock hills down and make it flat. Looking for guidance. It's been a long journey doing this all myself. But I'm feeling very discouraged to have gotten this far and not getting the results I want before I seed it.😅

Harley rakes are great tools, but incredibly expensive. You could likely buy 3 or 4 tillers for the price of a harley rake. Tillers do very well and could even finish off the final grading with a dethatcher rake for a really even finish.

@@GoodWorksTractors I guess my main concern is roots and rocks with the tiller. I have a lot of that lol. Will it ruin the tiller to have a lot of that?

What would you recommend to collect little rocks so we don't damage a mover of tiller tine
@carlstrohm3785
@carlstrohm3785 Жыл бұрын
It takes a pretty large rock to damage a tiller. The tiller will just move them. You could try a power rake if you have lots of rocks in the yard. Or the old fashioned hand removal always works 💪

Might cost them some business, might not. I'm not sure. I personally think it's much less work to just put the price on the website for folks to see.

Ya know, it's a shame that you seem really biased against #BADBOY tractors. I seen 1 of your videos that ya said ya didn't really like it. Or it wasn't Really comfortable for you. I'm currently a BADBOY tractor owner. And I can tell you it performs awesome. The dollar value you get, the price point you pay. Second to none. I really hope you become less biased and open your business to other manufacturers asides from what you may like. JMHO

@GoodWorksTractors great reply. 👍 be sure to show everyone how professional you really are now. And I'll be sure to post this on my Facebook page. And dis like all your 700 videos. To kick them down on the viewing list on searches. Was considering buying thousands of dollars of implements. Now, I'll just go to 1 of your competitors. Shameful, and very sad .. 😔
