I've only seen the first season which ended with armed thugs attacking the town near the two groups.

Great question! 'The Stand' is based on the idea that while the virus is deadly to most, there's a small group of people who are immune, and they become the 'survivors.' This is a common theme in many post-apocalyptic stories where the focus shifts to the struggle of the few who remain.

The Stand? Only if you're talking about the 1994 version. Why not throw some text on top of your video letting your viewers know their was an earlier version. Even with the constraints of TV censorship at the time and CGI being in its infancy, the early 90s version is still *lightyears ahead of that modern retelling (least offensive word I could think of, short of calling it a steaming pile of stinking dog poop) they made. With television censorship all but gone and the tech in place to create really amazing effects that series could've (should've).... been so much better *not just in time but, yeah 30yrs, that was a loooong time ago.

Great point! The 1994 version of The Stand is definitely a fan favorite, and it’s often considered superior to the newer adaptation. Despite the limitations of TV censorship and early CGI, it captured the essence of Stephen King’s novel really well. i never thought of vampyres as "romantic figures found in pop culture"; they always seemed like nasty, selfish parasites best quickly exterminated with EXTREME PREJUDICE. but hey, that's probably just me...🤔🙄😳 'DOMAIN' is meh; by the 2nd act one can see where it's going, but it might be worth watching for fans of "SEVERANCE" as the actress who plays "HILLY R" is in it. other than that it's fairly predictable. "STAKELAND" is superbueno!! and it's got a sequel that ain't 1/2 bad either. "INTO THE FOREST"...meh, but if watching 2 white girls try to eep it together in the wilderness is your meat & potatoes, knock yourself out. "12 MONKEYS" is a SERIES?! huh... the 1st "THE STAND" is pretty good, don't know much about THIS one except WHOOPI is making whoopie. "ONLY" is excellent with a heartbreaking ending; also that boy who played 'CARL' in 'TWD' has a small but interesting part. i WOULD add 'DRAGON DAY (2013); an eerie slow burn that's quite unsettling perhaps also "THE MIST" with THOMAS JANE & "I AM MOTHER".

Great insights and comments! You have a really interesting perspective on different films and shows. I agree, vampires in pop culture are often portrayed romantically, but many of us prefer them as brutal, dangerous creatures. "DOMAIN": It can be predictable, but it’s worth watching for the actress if you like "Severance." Thanks for the heads-up! "STAKELAND": Glad you enjoyed it! The sequel is also worth checking out if you liked the first one. "INTO THE FOREST": True, it might not be for everyone, but I appreciate your honesty. "12 MONKEYS": Yes, it’s a TV series based on the film, so it’s worth a look. "THE STAND": The original mini-series from the '90s is highly regarded. The new version with Whoopi Goldberg might have mixed opinions. "ONLY": I agree, it has a heartbreaking ending, and the role of the boy from "TWD" adds an interesting touch. "DRAGON DAY": Great suggestion! Its slow-burn tension is quite unsettling. "THE MIST": A classic that definitely deserves recognition. "I AM MOTHER": Also a great pick, with an intriguing take on artificial intelligence. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and recommendations! They’ll definitely help others looking for new titles to check out.
