John it’s a nice example of a sick sport touring setup. I personally like all the options you’ve done as well. I’m 6’4” 36” inseam. Did Kraus 2+ front and I’ve got 13” shocks with 1” extensions. You’ve inspired to start a mid Control search. Last but not lease thank you for service and continued support of our brothers and sisters.

I love the lights dude. I'm a big fan of modern bright LED lights and the crisp bright look those lights have then switch to amber for turn signals, love it man. Beautiful. People will see you and you intentions from a mile away, you see at night really well and they look bad ass at all times. This is what we want to look like. Nice!

Great build, great video, excellent advice and insight to the build. 10/10 episode. I love that you are grabbing a black seat and will keep the white one for special occasions. Have you thought about chroming your lower fork sliders?? or blacking them out? Everything else matches perfectly with the chrome and black theme.

Suspension is the most overlooked part of setting up a bike and most overlooked in the cruiser world. Getting the sag and compression and rebound settings correct for your weight and riding style is HUGE! Doesn't matter how much power you have if you can't utilize it.

Thank you for your service. I have a 2015 Street Glide Special denim black and I added the same color tourpack to it. The original seat is wearing out and that seat that you have I think would put a nice contrast to it. I live in Port Saint Lucie Fl. In moved from Brooklyn then to Coram Long Island and my home is in Port Saint Lucie Fl. I’m down here for almost 30yrs. I drove from Coram back to Forest Hills Queens. 6 days a week working for a Zenith authorized TV repair shop anyway my 2yr. Older brother then taught me how to ride mini bike and then I new I would be riding my my hole life. He also bought a fox go cart with a McCullough 70 engine worked out. We used to take it out to aqueduct racetrack on the weekend and we raced it in the parking lot I was hooked forever so I riding motorcycles from 13 till today and I get a new 2015 Harley Street Glide Special Denim Black. I’m 72 yrs old now and I’m thinking about a new one. They look so beautiful and I like there new braking system. Anyway I like that White seat you are selling. Would you be able to ship that to me and how much do you want for it. Thanks Cliff Peranio

Happy Veterans Day John, thank you and all Veterans for defending our great Country. I agree, anything over a Stage 2 and you're going to have to start upgrading engine internals and cooling. I still feel Max is a good setup for more power...Trust me, mid-teens Hp and Tq is good, but just a little to little for a loaded up 850lb touring bike and it gets boring after not too long. With some smart internal upgrades the M8 can me made super reliable and be putting down around 130hp\135tq .

Great video, a couple days ago I was riding from Camp Verde to Payson and it was in the 20s. I didn't feel that bad with my heated gear but thought hand guards and a couple cloth covers on the crash bars would be a good addition. I'll get those now that I watched this. Thanks

I just got my suspension in last week from Fox! First time doing suspension on my RG and im excited to see what everyone has been talking about. I always do a 6” windscreen because I wear a full face helmet now so wind is no longer a concern. My personal preference is to have that sleek look over the high windscreen. Also have the S&S 475C paired w/ Thundermax and it’s getting dyno’d as well. Bars and risers from L.A Choppers. My RG ST is almost ready for spring! Good video!

I used the Bung King aluminum lift block and it isn't the best look, but it gives the bike the stock lean back. You have to drill through the foot of the kick stand and it took a little patience and a busted drill bit before I had both holes drilled, but the lift block does it's job.

Love everything you you decided to custom as well as what you decided not to custom. That’s a killer road glide, stands out even though it’s black. Only 130 days til spring😉 Agree with staying stage 2, anything more means more maintenance and higher chance of breakdown. I still think you should upgrade the compensator. You make it to through Minnesota next summer, give me a shoutout & I’ll tour ya through 👍🏻

John, I love the bike and where you have taken it, makes sense to me. I have the S&S 465 torque cam in my 19 Tri Glide, totally change the dynamics of the Trike, we do a lot of 2-up riding, torque comes on at 1500 rpm and climbs to 130 torque at 3000 rpm, feels like I need a 7th gear at highway speeds though. I have to be careful can pull the front wheel in second gear cracking on it - no steering lol

John... the hand grip shields are very practical. It doesn't takeaway the cool factor in my opinion. I would get em' too. I understood loud and clear that.. why would you put all that powerful stuff on your bike where most HD dealers can't work on the the needs you may have. I'm not a fan of that kind of stage stuff but to each it's own. Make bike you want to enjoy. Great video John Blessings! 👍🏽✌🙏🏾😎

I formed out a 1” block of Lexan to extend my kickstand. It works great and a bonus was that it takes all the punishment from the ground instead of my kickstand. Drilled a couple of holes in the kickstand and threaded them to 1/4-28 thread then a couple of countersunk holes in the Lexan block and fabbed the stainless bolts to finish flush with the upper surface of the jiffy-stand. Looks and works great!

Im 6"2 as well and did the rear shocks to a 13 inch and getting ready to do the front suspension. It is a world of difference in ride when the suspension is tuned to you style. By far it should be the 1st thing riders do is set your suspension up and the bike will be a whole new ride it will feel like a feather and fall in and out of the corners with such ease and give you as a rider alot of confidence to handle twisted roads. It dont matter what bike it is tune that suspension to your bodyand riding style

Nothing better than a motorcycle that you’ve made your own. And to hear you say 150+HP isn’t required to have a great time is what I been saying. He’s like me you have that sport bike background and the Harley geometry and chassis set up from the factory just doesn’t work for guys like us. Suspension is so key and a lot of people don’t even consider it. All they wanna do is make more power they forget that without control the powers almost meaningless
