From personal preference I would add A’Maurice Cellars, Leonettii/ Figgins Cellars, Quilceda Creek, Grammercy Cellars, Dunham Cellars and Andrew Will Winery to this list.

I have no idea what the criteria was for this list, but it is certainly doesn't represent a "top 10" list of Washington State wineries by any stretch of the imagination. A few of the wineries included are certainly deserving, and all are good, but a top ten list without such legends as Quilceda Creek, Cayuse, and Leonetti, not to mention several others, makes a person wonder what this list actually represents.

Thank you for your comment! I didn't mean to offend but all top 10 lists are subjective. As mentioned at the outset of the video, the list is based on the rankings from the Decanter World Wine awards given to these wineries. Oftentimes, exclusions occur on lists like this because there are more than 10 of just about anything.

@@stateofminetees4611 Yeah, I get it. No offense taken. I saw that the list was created by Decanter and that you were just reporting on it. The "top 10" are all good wineries, and some are, in my personal opinion, very deserving to be on that list. I just wondered what the criteria was. It certain wasn't about the physical wineries or beautiful facilities, and it obviously had nothing to do with the history of the wineries or critical acclaim or professional evaluations of their wines, nor was the list related to critic's wine scores across the breadth of a winery's releases. How wineries with multiple 95 to 100 point scores from many critics were not included while one that doesn't even have a public tasting room that was apparently included for releasing a 90 point grocery store wine, is a bit confusing. Yeah, I know that "points" are not everything, and critics ratings and reviews are also subjective, but if you have 5 different writers and critics who all score a wine at 95 points plus, and 5 others who all score a wine in the 87 to 90 point range, you can generally be quite confident that one wine is better made and is a greater achievement than the other. I am not going to give my opinion on the wineries listed, because that would only be MY opinion and an exercise in futility, but as someone who is very familiar with the Washington State wine industry, I do have to scratch my head at these things. Have a great day!
