Iron hide was my first transformer and I was pissed off he was headless and thought I had gotten a knockoff brand or was missing something.

You know why he was headless, though? The "head" was originally a seat in the Diaclone original. It was supposed to be a pilotable mech, and figure would be placed on the seat.

Roadbuster was awesome looked great in both modes not sure why you didnt like him. For a gen one he was great. but to each his own.

I also hated Ultra Magnus as an 80s kid. Now as an adult collector, I love him. I can now appreciate his nostalgia

Metroplex is too small to serve it's purpose as a City, but I like Fortress Maximus because he is big enough. Also, I like that when he is in City Mode, he actually looks like a base and you wouldn't think it turned into a robot.

When I was a kid I bought Blaster thinking he was the rival to Soundwave. But, of course, the scale was way off. The worst part about him was that I couldn’t put his tapes in his chest. As a kid I thought it was stupid, until I got to adulthood and found out his chest could actually open up for his tapes. I guess my copy’s chest was fused together. So I have a love/hate relationship with him.

While I have to disagree as far as Blaster's toy, I *do* agree about Brawn. Like Powerglide, the toy missed leg day... *and* arm day. 😀

For me, it was the width of the space between the legs and thickness of each leg. I couldn’t imagine him running into battle with ease.

@@theafroalien3169 well a lot of g1 toys were really weird Some are super great and to this day are still fun to play with like jazz and prowl Others not so much But I played with him a little bit as a little kids with powerglide and I loved them both

I loved Powerglide and I still have him. I love him purely because of nostalgia.. Ultra Magnus was poor but his white cab saved him for me as i didn't have Optimus.. I thought Gears or Huffer would have made this list.

I had Topspin. I really like his design and I'd like to have a figure that actually transforms instead of folding in half. Yeah, the jumpstarters did kinda suck.

Wheeljack, The Autobot powermasters (4) were bad too. Blaster was great. Disagree with Ultra Magnus. Rosdbuster was cool. Fort Max is still a fave.

I agree with most of the choices. Idk why they made Blaster so huge and Ultra Magnus was too large and bulky. I would also add the Throttlebots as they had no posability and Whirl as well.

Agree (mostly). Blaster was, what, bigger than Devastator or something? far bigger than Optimus Prime; It simply felt wrong. At least Jetfire was depicted as being big in the cartoon. Ultra Magnus was an ugly brick, even back then; It had a white Prime, that was it. Absolutely LOVED Roadbuster though, still do; it felt so much more 'deluxe' than other bots. Ratchet/ Ironhide; I remember looking at these at the shop in full wonder of their ugly-ness and lots of question marks (did anyone actually buy those?..).

As far as Ratchet and Ironhide are concerned why oh why hasblow thought it would be a good idea to bring two headless human piloted mech from the diaclone car robo into the transformers line and try to pass tjem off as living robots.

G-1 "Seekers": ("Starscream, Thunder- cracker, & Skywarp!!") Their squarish bodies, low setting wings, & limited articulation was simply the pits!!!! 🤢🤮

It's rare and the colours are different but Kabaya Blaster was a nicely scaled down version of G1 Blaster similar in height to Springer. The third party clip on heads for Ratchet and Ironhide really improved them and they look great with Prowl and the other Diaclones. 10 Worst G1 Autobot toys to me were: Powermaster Optimus Prime. Stumpy arms and oversized goofy head. Chromedome. Too large and hideous colours. Goldbug. An unlikeable upgrade of an annoying character. Wreck-Gar. Only Junkion I don't like. Facial hair looks ridiculous on robots. Slapdash. Not a fan of faceplates. His character model looked much better. Dogfight Pretender Grimlock. Inner robot was too small but even articulating his jaw would have improved him a lot. Slingshot. Ugly head design and an obnoxious character. Kup. Ugly head and an annoying character. Pretender Jazz. His bonnet obscures his head in robot mode. They did it again with G2 Rapido. At least Actionmaster Jazz and Grimlock can fit in their Pretender shells, replacing the inferior inner robots. I mentioned Slapdash's character model looking better than the toy because I've never liked faceplates. Other Autobots similarly afflicted include Sandstorm, Backstreet, Hardhead, Air Raid and Fireflight which is a shame because I liked the characters.

The scale was all over the place...galvatron was almost the same size as metroplex

Those animation accurate heads they made for G1 Ratchet and Ironhide saved those figures for me, otherwise Id definitely agree with them being at the top of this list.

Ultra Magnus wasnt so bad. Ok. The legs didnt had any articulation but still was nice and big. Also in this days many of transformers didnt had articukation.

Bro, your entire list sucks. lol. A lot of your reasoning sucks. Maybe the Twin Twist/Topspin one was actually bad. But then, why not the battlecharger guys? Or the throttlebots? There are better candidates for bad G1 Transformer toys than most of the stuff you posted. Blaster? Come on now. You just hate him because he was out of proportion. That's a great toy!
