Yea, the guy is completely wrong in the bit I heard about Huntsville. Gangs are not formed to fight the "White Oppressor" they are criminal enterprises, usually selling drugs. I'm sure that claim sounded good to whatever politicians wanted to blame Whites for criminal enterprises, but it is totally absurd. Huntsville does have a large Black population with two traditionally Black Universities and a traditionally Black tech school. The Black population in Huntsville is generally well educated and productive, they are not a criminal class out joining gangs to fight some imaginary White Oppressor. I'm sure there are some drug gangs around, but that is not representative of the lifestyle of most Black Huntsvillians. Huntsville natives are not an underclass either. Huntsville has been a center for research and development for 70 years now and any difference between the "natives" and the imports has been erased decades ago. Is Huntsville safe? Reasonably so, at least as long as you don't go actively looking for trouble.

I think he's confused about the brands. There is the Auburn brand and then there is the Alabama brand. They are the two biggest gangs and rule Alabama. I'm a native from Huntsville. It's not as bad as you make it out to be, but Birmingham does have the highest murder rate, per-capita, in the United States, but I've been there many times and haven't seen or heard any violence. You just gotta be smart about it and you'll be fine.

Real nice area. Better than 90% of the state for a fact. I had friends in Naples originally from there. So the stroy goes, that a white women who was very wealthy passed away, and instead of leaving it to her family she left it to her black friends and that area went on to become the black area of that town. (somehwere near there) not sure exactly where but thats the story my friend from Alabama told me about that town. I wish i knew more about the real story since it was just an old story my friend told me she was from that area but lived in Florida her whole life. Great people, but they never would EVER go back to Alabama. shes gone now, amazing person. Its pretty there the road goes thru a valley. Almost certain we did a video in that town too. Its much less messed up there than the rest of the state too.
