There are a LOT of ignorant responses, so I would like to clear something up. Just because you found something entertaining, does not make it a good movie. Also, a good movie may not be that entertaining to you. A "good" movie is one that puts lots of thought, creativity, works with timing, directing, great acting, cinematography. You may be entertained by Katy Perry, but she isn't a good singer. A "good" singer is someone with range, projection control, and a pleasing tonal quality. An opera singer is a great singer...I may never buy her album, because that doesn't entertain me. So, with these movies...none of them are opera singers. They are all a bunch of Selena Gomez-es and Iggy Azalea-es (or whatever the hell her name is). You can enjoy them...and that is great. But none of these are well crafted. Mistaking entertaining or fun for good is why the quality of movies have gone downhill and why we have no real culture with substance in the US anymore. As I said elsewhere, a fart may make you giggle, but it still stinks. Hopefully, that clears things up.

I don't have people in my life who are like the responders here, but I have a son in law who makes movies so I know how hard it can be. I meant people should post their own lists of movies, to see if they can get everyone to agree with them or more people or whatever. Pia Hansen that's exactly why good movies should make it trought. One of my favorite movies is a super-low-budget: it had no CGI, it didn't have any star... It just had a great story, great actors and a good unknown director. So, that's why we all complain! Movies like these have big money invested on them, hire a good writer and make a good story. I bet your son in law is better than Michael Bay. So... Why do we have to keep suppprting Bay's movies while your own son in law might be a genious. And I'm not joking here, trust me. It's your hard earned money, you deserve a good product for your money. Movies aren't free and if you leave the theater with a bad taste in your mouth you have the right to say that product/movie you bought was a piece of garbage, right?

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)" was NOT a bad movie to me. Heck, my mom saw it with me twice, and she herself says that it's the best interpretation of the Ninja Turtles she's seen. Sigh. The thing was that TMNT2014 was directed towards the younger audience. Now, the problem is that the people who are interested in TMNT was OUR generation who were brought up with them. So who will watch the movie? Not the 10 years old and younger as it was intended, but older, mature audience who will not simply foresee any flaws. See my point. We are having 25+ who are complaining about the movie, and ten years old enjoying it.

Brandon Boring OK, that's YOUR opinion about it, NOT mine. No, I'm not pissed off or anything. The movie just happened to appeal to me. Nothing in it came across as 'lazy' or 'stupid.' Predictable and cliche? Eh, maybe in some spots, but not throughout the entire film (in my opinion). I rather liked how April was connected to Splinter and the Turtles. Plus, the fact that Shredder and the Footclan were working with this corrupt organization felt 'real' to me in the sense that there are indeed organizations that are UN-ethical.

I face palm whenever people try comparing the new Ninja Turtles movies with the ones they grew up with. I can look back on the ones I grew up with, and admit they are bad. The newer ones aren't perfect, but they are still better than the corny try hard forms of media we've gotten in the past. At least the new Turtles aren't going around rapping to kids anymore.

1. The shoddily semi-animated intro with the overly cheesy narration. 2. 20 minutes of April O'Neil's story that no one cares about. 3. Ugly designs that are poorly animated. a lot of times. 4. The ham fisted attempt to put April into their origin. She saves her pets instead of her father and puts them down a sewer? 5. Splinter leans ninjistu and appropriates the entirety of Japanese culture from a single book.What an insult to fans. 6.Splinter seems to know everything about the Shredder and the two act like old enemies despite (unlike every other version) they have no connection to each other. 7. The villains plot doesn't make sense. Not only would people see the toxin coming out of Sacks' tower but wouldn't the US government get suspicious of a deadly plague wiping out Manhattan and then a guy try sell them a cure? 8. Super strong bullet proof turtles that instantly after injuries. Isn't that complete overkill. 9. What happened to the Raid style martial art scenes they kept promising us? In a movie called NINJA turtles you think we'd see some martial arts. 10. The turtles personalities are completely exaggerated and they got no development at all. 11. Fan favorite characters like Karai are almost background characters or not present like oh I dunno Casey Jones. Who the hall cares about Vernon. 12. It's pretty clear that Eric Sacks was supposed to Shredder all the way down to April dealing him the final blow and they hastily re-shot everything to shove a vaguely Saki-like character in there I could say more but I'd say that's enough.

I think Sex Tape and Lucy should of been on here, I was definitely disappointed by Lucy. Wasn't expecting much more from Sex Tape. I also liked A Million Ways to Die in the West, I thought it was funny as hell. Don't get the hate. The Nut Job was so sh*tty, agree there. I also liked TMNT. Not the best movie ever but I liked it. The worst part was Megan Fox. It's the first movie I've seen with her but she is literally the most wooden, unemotional, awful actress I've ever seen. So hopefully they recast her in the sequel, PLEASE. Jesus Christ she was awful, I feel she was the main scab on the movie.

Alright, I've heard this mentioned all the time in reference to the newest TMNT movie, and I have to say something. Everyone I hear talking about it compares it to TMNT II or the 80's cartoon, as if the cartoon was the origin of the turtles. It wasn't. Eastman and Laird originally created the turtles in a comic series that was dark, bloody, violent and bleak. It wasn't goofy ass catchphrases and surfer talk. They were ninjas and they fucking killed people. Once they started trying to market the turtles to a broader audience, that's when it got kiddified. The first TMNT movie was based off a storyline in the comics, not anything from the cartoon. So, here's an idea: if you think the cartoon is where the turtles started, you need to shut up, because you clearly know jack shit about TMNT in general. Also, it WAS a good movie. Could it have been better? Absolutely. But it certainly wasn't one of the worst movies made in 2014. Neither was I, Frankenstein. It was based on a graphic novel, not just them pulling a reinvention of Frankenstein's monster out of their asses. Do your fucking research before opening your mouths. And no, I'm not mad someone has a differing opinion from me. That's fine. But I HATE the spread of misinformation stated as fact.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was a fun movie. The only reason anybody says that it's bad is because nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody gave this movie a chance. I am in no way saying that it's great, but it is at least fun. It's a perfectly acceptable kids movie, and it can be enjoyable if you just get the fuck over that it is a reboot. I grew up on The ninja turtles when I was a kid just like everybody else, I love them. I do not always except reboots so easily, I have things that I am just too much of a diehard fan to except, but we knew about this movie nearly 5 years ago. We all had plenty of time to adjust, And except that it's a new product. Stop complaining about their designs, they look real. Have you looked at a turtle lately, these ninja turtles look like fucking turtles. I'm just getting pissed that everybody's bitching and complaining about this movie, you don't have to like it, but stop ruining it for those of us who can at least sit down and have fun with it. It seriously has gotten to the point were so many people bash this movie that it is made me self-conscious every time I even think about it. This is got to be one of the most irritating cases of people just having a bunch of sticks up their asses about a reboot. Never before have I been so ridiculed, and so put down by people just because I enjoy a movie. Never before have I heard so many people complain about something simply because it exists.

Even though I love my turtles, I think it should've been higher on this list. Lol 1. Meghan Fox........When the first scene of her came on I cried. 2. They turned the turtles into hulks. They are supposed to be highly skilled in martial arts and ninjutsu not ridiculously strong. 3. Shredder.....Reason is because of #2. Why does he need all of that technology? He is supposed to whoop those turtles with his skill not a magnetic blade. 4. Really poor comedy. I don't even remember the cameraman actor's actual name, I just know he is insanely trifling. I really wish they made a better TMNT movie for my kids generation. I love passing my passions onto them. I bought the 3 old movies for Christmas and man I went on a nostalgia trip.

So what if it detracts from the source material (comic books, cartoon) Sometimes the source material doesn't always translate to film.Guess what Winter Solider is nothing like the comic book! but its a great film! Raekwon Snyder It kind of is though, they reuse old jokes and plots, which while are not necessarily present in other Sandler films specifically, are tired and lazy. Nobody is expecting amazing things from Sandler after his run of awful films starting in 2007, but when you watch Reign Over Me and The Wedding Singer and see how much talent he squanders with each successive film, it gets hard to watch or even see that he is releasing another film. Seriously, take a look at his filmography page. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Sandler_filmography#Film Listed are plans for Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Joe Dirt 2 and Hotel Transylvania 2. Oh, there's something called Pixels, which if you look at the page for that film, looks absolutely horrible. It's going to be in 3-D CGI (ugh), and it's about aliens starting war over 80's arcade games. Does that not sound like a film that is trying to hook onto the success of relatively recent films like Wreck it Ralph and Lego Movie? He's not even attempting to make it look like he's trying anymore! His films have become ridiculously redundant.

Raekwon Snyder Fair enough, but don't expect not to see these movies on a "top ten worst of 20xx" when they aren't trying. And don't get me wrong, I love Sandler's 90's and very early 00's work. Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore are easily two of my favourite comedies of the 90's, and Punch-Drunk Love is an extremely underrated movie. Much of the work that I like by Sandler are by no means masterpieces. His outrageous performance is usually the only thing that really saves the film enough to make them acceptable beyond "just comedy".

Let me break it down for you. Almost all human characters seem very generic and pathetic. The dad was a try hard. The daughter is sooooooo annoying. I mean, honestly, her herself tried being a badass to save the father when she barely did much throughout the whole movie and just sucked. Her boyfriend is a loser cool guy that thinks he's a badass, but makes me cringe when he wants to be funny and/or cool. Then there was the try hard clown who ratted out his best friend, and died....thankfully. As if it wasn't obvious enough, he just reeked of being that one guy who is supposedly the one that brings humor to the movie, he did make me chuckle from time to time, but in all honesty, I'd get tired of him if he remained alive. Then there are the robots that from freaking no where, like the dinosaur transformers, and the assassins. They honestly don't give a good reason why they're there, they're just there. The Transformers themselves were fine, but this movie seemed like a wannabe fan made transformer movie.

So I grew up watching teenage mutant ninja turtles as a kid and the orginal movies weren't master pieces. I thought the new one was acceptable. Decent popcorn flick, I enjoyed it. Far from one of the worst movies of the year. I feel like just because Michael Bay is attached to it in some way , it gets picked on way more because of that fact. Even though he's just a producer on it.

Matthew Ford He was a producer for that movie. Producers have a lot of say what goes into the movie because they put money into it so they expect to make money back.
