This is a reupload of a video that was originally uploaded in 2020. However It got 4 separate copyright claims across a week in early December. Not knowing what was going on, and knowing that disputes rarely go the creator’s way, I decided to trim out those segments and take the video down. Then I received 4 more copyright claims across 3 other videos. Other NASCAR KZbinrs had similar problems recently and they told me to just dispute the claims and they will all be dropped. Because of NASCAR Classics going live, the content ID bots are automatically claiming some footage. On twitter, reps from NASCAR Media group stated that they’re working to resolve the issues and it may take a while to release all the claims during the holidays, but have patience and just dispute any claims. But by the time I realized what was going on, this video had already had nearly 3 minutes claimed and had been irreversibly trimmed, so here’s the reupload. tl;dr - It’s not NASCAR’s fault that a lot of stuff is getting claimed, it’s a combo of NASCAR Classics’ library and content ID bots trying to protect copyrights. They plan on releasing all claims asap, and any further claims will just be disputed and I should be fine. This video was edited by Biodegradable. Texas World Speedway has mostly been flattened out and turned into a huge neighborhood. I think the only thing left is some of the hill that the grandstands sat on. A few years before they closed, they'd open the gates every Friday evening and let people drag race down pit lane with whatever they wanted.

Texas is also infamous for the cancellation of the first CART race because the G-forces the drivers were experiencing were causing them to nearly black out. The race was cancelled the morning that the race was scheduled, but CART had no choice in the matter other than to let the drivers go out and probably die.

Those 1.5 mile tri/quad ovals like Kansas and Atlanta as well are shockingly fast for their size honestly. Like they are a full mile shorter than daytona or talledega but even unrestricted I dont think one of the 2000s/2010s cars would run more than like 15 mph faster.

Unbelievable to discover there was a track practically in my backyard in Islip! Getting to Maine would have been a breeze-no need to worry about traffic. With two ferries available, and even if you decided to cross the border into NYC, the bridges up north in my old neighborhood were rarely crowded. Honestly, a lot of the issues about Talladega can also be said about Daytona, especially since Daytona has a higher body count than Dega. I know the 1969 controversy of Dega is REALLY bad, but I feel the safety issues are a bit overblown and more of a cause of the time period than anything else (and once again ditto that for Daytona too).

Besides Earnhardt's horrid crash in 1996 at 3:04, Talladega also had Rick Mast's car flip over in turn four in 1991, in which Mast miraculously walked away without injuries, and Rusty Wallace's horrific crash in 1993 where he finished sixth by wrecking and flipping his car, reducing it to the frame, it's a miracle he survived that.

Unity ended up closed and is trying to come back from the dead right now. I think the track was placed at Unity but it was abandoned for like 15 years. I think they tore up the asphalt and it's a dirt track now. It's still really run down. I also know Wiscasset Raceway has a bunch of stuff going on there. I would say the one thing that will keep TMS on the schedule for as long as possible is NASCAR will likely do everything they can to stay in a top 5 media market. Yes, they took California/Fontana off the schedule, but the fact that they ran a race at the LA Coliseum this year tells me they still want the LA market as well. See also how they took Chicagoland off only to add the Chicago street race and giving it the July 4 weekend date, taking that away from Daytona. It's similar to why people are telling me the NBA will not let the Dallas Mavericks leave town despite their new owners planning certain demands for a new building that I doubt the state will allow.

Would this track just be "turn 1" would it be turn 1 to halfway and then turn 2 to the line? would it be 4 turns like everywhere else? 360 turns? As you don't seem to need a corner to start and end to give it a different name (or just number) I'm genuinely intrigued
