Good list, I might have also included the Sony Xperia Play. They never released sales numbers but it definitely flopped compared with the hype. Also they stopped updating it within a year and barely sold any games, so probably a big loss for company.

@@shapelessbb Being one of those who joined during the BB10 era, I quite liked BB10, TBH. I miss my Passport to this day... might buy one from eBay just for a fun joyride once in a while. Yeah, tying WP directly to universal apps just failed when universal apps died out. If they had instead built it around android dev compatibility, it might have had a chance, but frankly it's damn hard to break into a 2 party monopoly weirdly late. If Microsoft had been much smarter around windows mobile back during the early days of iOS/Android development, they could have been able to leapfrog, but dumping all of that put them behind from the start

Because overall sales for the 5C were not that good. Compared to figures for other iPhones, it's abysmal. And it wasn't long before carriers started slashing prices on them, and practically (or in the case of a few carriers, literally) giving them away by the time the 6 rolled around.

At the time the newer, best iPhone model (5s at the time) will cost $649 and the 5C was $549 the price. The iPhone 5 was discontinued by Apple but it was still being sell by every network company like Verizon, att, spring etc. At the same price as the 5C. So the price of the iPhone 5c was to expensive for a plastic phone at the time. So people would either choose to buy the iPhone 5s for $100 more or buy the iPhone 5 for the same price of the 5C with better quality. If the phone would’ve cost $449 that would’ve been a hit.

About the time MS gave up on Windows phone the app gap really stopped mattering. You could use web sites for all the social media sites because 4g was that good. Honestly apps are just a bit overrated when you can have all the features at the web site. You could use a windows phone today without much problem.

i like windows phones , they had so many potential , but the store sucked :( , and many users didnt like the plastic (even though it is tougher than a backglass ) . My favourite is the 950 xl which had, if not the best , one of the best smartphone camera ever ( note : i refer to the photography quality and not the video) . The fact that it can still compete with new flagships is at the same time weird and amazing . Personally as i like the picture to be more "alive " , its the best smartphone camera for me . I reused my old lumia 530 , and even the camera in that crappy device was still more usable than my current phone 's camera . Many i bet may dislike this comment . I get it its your opinion , and this is my opinion , so plz no hate . :)

I LOVED the HTC Evo 3D.... The OEM battery sucked, but I got an aftermarket extended battery and since I had the original EVO and HTC Touchpro 2, I had 4 extra batteries on top of it. The battery life was terrible because it used WiMaxx, the neat part of that is after you paid for it, you could use it on Virgin Mobile and get unlimited 4G hotspot availability... On top of it, you could get a dock for your TV and use it to watch Netflix and a car mount so you could mount it to your windshield and use it both as a dashcam and GPS... That is the thing with HTC phones, they came with a boatload of accessories and if you tinkered with them... They blew away anything else on the market. The camera was mediocre... But it had a dedicated shutter button and that helped A LOT.... I still have thousands of photos I took with it and they looked good to decent. I have thousands of 3D photos now that I can't see because nothing can display that proprietary format they came in. I had an Galaxy S2, which was it's direct competitor and the 3D was better by a mile....

Such a shame the Windows Phone flopped. Been using Windows Mobile back when most people didn’t know what a “smart phone” or “PDA” was. I got mixed feelings when Microsoft decided to shift to “Windows Phone” when it became apparent that Windows Mobile was becoming irrelevant. But when I tried it, I was impressed. Way much better experience than Android at that time. Too bad, Microsoft is just really terrible with corporate decisions. They didn’t make any effort to attract developers.

I was a diehard win phone guy since the Lumia 920, loved the OS and it was wildly ahead of it's time. The snappy, super responsive, motion focused design and lovely usability... But because of the failure of the whole win 8 universal app platform in general there was no chance for any serious development and it just became a pain in the ass, constantly. Still, I have a lot of good memories of those phones.
