@MacTechG44 жыл бұрын
rcamp1423; be VERY careful driving that car, especially if you live in an area with snow and road salt, the Neon has a critical design flaw in the front suspension system... the air conditioner drain hose drains right on top of the “K Member” which is a metal subframe the lower suspension arms connect to, its a poor quality steel that rusts extremely rapidly and can collapse under stress, causing front suspension failure It can be repaired, but it’s not cheap, easily around $2000.... How long that model of Truck is in production is irrelevant, we aren't comparing a modern European truck to a 25 year old F-150, this was a modern F-150(at the time) and as such should be held to the same standard as everyone else and it failed fucking miserably! If we apply your logic, a 2017 Toyota Hilux should be terrible in a crash test simply because the model has existed for 20 years.

Holy wow, the Previa's steering wheel literally impaled the dummy's head as it was driven up into the ceiling during the crash. The poor seatbelt design left the dummy in a reclining position.
@honestbutugly7 жыл бұрын
why do they paint the front wheel white?
@almostfm5 жыл бұрын
Because the wheel wells and the underside of the car are usually dark-either because they're painted that color or they're in shade. Painting the wheels white makes it easier to see on the high speed video exactly how they behave in a crash.

I drive a '94 F-150. The F-150 shown here is a '01. 1992-1997 were completely different designs (including much of the frame) from 1998-2003 models. That proves the video isn't 100% accurate, and so therefore I'ma just say that my '94 is safer than that 2001!
@petesboats9876 жыл бұрын
B0SSNINE actually the OBS style was used in 97 on f350's only. For f150's it was 92-96. They quit making the bronco in 96 because they didn't want to have to redesign it with their new frame design because it wasn't worth it for how many people bought it in the past. And I'm 97 the f250 looked just like the f150 but ford changed that in 98. Anyway, 97-06 f150's had that style although it changed a little in 03. The point is, the frame in 96 and earlier was much stronger than 97-06. So this video is completely incorrect when it says 92-06.
