Libby probably just ended up becoming a geologist. We don't know if she was as successful as Bert was. Ira just kept running his store until he retired. Jana just went to high school, got a new boyfriend, and moved on. After high school... well I really don't care about her. Tam joined the jazz band and made some new friends and enjoyed the rest of his high school days until he graduated. Later on, he found the love of his life, got married, had kids, and lived a happy life in Medford. I don't know much about how his career went, but he says he's happy. June presumably quit once Connie made enough money to pay her what she owed her. They didn't stay in touch because this damaged their friendship. June just kept running her women's hair store. Erica and Bobbi presumably moved in with their fathers after the divorces. Pastor Rob presumably took that job. I think Paige killed herself. A commenter on another Young Sheldon video said that they were going to kill of Paige and George at the same time, complete with Sheldon having some alternate fantasies about how his last conversation with Paige could have gone just like his alternate fantasies about how his last conversation with his dad could have gone. According to the commenter, the network rejected this idea because it was too dark. Whether or not this commenter was telling the truth, I have no idea. It's perfectly believable to me. We know what kind of life Veronica led. Sheldon narrated all about that at the end of her first appearance

It's a shame that they couldn't get McKenna Grace back, due to her busy schedule, but they could at least have mentioned Paige in the finale, or hinted as to her whereabouts through Sheldon's memoirs.

See, this is what annoys me so much about tv shows. They’re just so focused on wrapping up the main characters and completing their stories, they forget all about the great side characters that help make the show so memorable. I mean, the least the creators could’ve done in the finale was have adult Sheldon give a quick update to what happened to some of them (like what Ted did in one of the last episodes of How I Met Your Mother). Would that really have been too much trouble?

Others: -Sheldon's season 5 college friends. I really liked them. They only appeared in 2 episodes. What happened to them after that was never explained -Sheldon's season 7 college friends. At one point they just disappear and are never mentioned again -Mr. Lundy -The therapist that looks and talks like Pastor Jeff -The nurse -The doctor that smokes -Ms. McElroy and Ms. Ingram. They kept Mr. Givens, Ms. Hutchins, Wayne, and the principal, but not those other 2 teachers. -Officer Robin. Pastor Jeff's wife. Very rarely seen or mentioned after season 3 -Sam. She'd been appearing once a year since season 3. She didn't appear at all in season 7. She presumably went to Columbia but they still could have found a way to bring her back one more time. -Mee Maw's friends on the church bus. We could have seen more of them than we did -Heather B. and Heather M. Mentioned lots of times. Only seen once -Dr. Lee. The season 5 science project remained incomplete which leaves enough unanswered questions. Another unanswered question is why Dr. Lee wasn't a part of the road trip or the Asimov discussion, both of which were after she was added to the project. -Connor. Mandy's brother. Appeared just once at the bachelor party. Why wasn't he at the wedding? Or the funeral? Heck, why didn't we see more of him and fewer of the female characters in that family? I liked him and his dad. I didn't like his sister or his mother.

I’ll be honest, even I forgot a couple of these but the ones I do remember, I agree. Connor (aka Mandy’s brother) in particular makes no sense because I’m pretty sure their dad Jim said that he was still living at home with his parents. Well if that’s true, where the hell was he? Where was he when his niece was born, when his sister and Georgie moved in, when they got married? I know he wasn’t that important to the story but it still bugged me.

Libby was one of my favorite characters. It was a shame she only appeared once. I liked Ira. I liked him better than Dale. Jana wasn't forgotten about. She dumped Georgie because he dropped out of high school, which meant that he couldn't be the prom king to her prom queen which is what she wanted. After that, there was no point in bringing her back. There wasn't much point in introducing her to begin with. I didn't really like her. 4:09 Well, after that, he spent most of his time in a laundromat. Maybe she doesn't go to it. It really is no surprise we didn't see her again Tam wasn't forgotten about. He appeared in one of the final episodes. His role was reduced when Sheldon graduated because they were no longer in the same school, Sheldon had no interest in seeing him anymore, and Tam made some new friends so he didn't have much interest in seeing Sheldon anymore. But his appearance in season 7 confirms they didn't forget about him. June wasn't forgotten about. She appeared in the final episode to pay her condolences to the family when George died. We didn't see much of her because she really didn't fit the show. She was an old reckless party woman on a show about a young child genius. I enjoyed her first appearance on the show with her, Mee Maw, and Dr. Sturgis together in the bar, but I found her subsequent appearances to be boring an unmemorable. Erica Swanson was not an important character. Pastor Rob is one of my top 10 favorite characters on the show. At times, he was a better pastor than Pastor Jeff. He connected with the kids better. He fought for Mary's job and consoled her. He helped George with the football coaching. Yeah, he shouldn't have secretly dated Mary, but then again she shouldn't have secretly dated her and George shouldn't have secretly dated Brenda. Of the 4 of them, he was the least bad because he's the only one who wasn't throwing stones. None of them should have been throwing stones because they were all guilty. I wish they'd kept him, but I assume he took that job and went on to bigger and better things. Good for him I presume they never brought back Bobbi because she was unpopular. That episode got a lot of backlash at the time. Good move by the producers not bringing her back. Other shows made the mistake of keeping around their evil little girl bullies. D.W. was never written out of Arthur. Amanda kept appearing in Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Emily reappeared a few times in Wishbone. And that angered most fans of those shows. Good job by the producers of Young Sheldon to never bring this character back. 10:09 Actually, that's not 100% true. In season 5 episode 1, Brenda mentions "The kids." Why do you think she pluralized it? On Paige, I disagree with the writers. I do not feel her story was satisfactorily concluded. I was 100% sure they'd conclude it in season 7. I'm shocked they thought it was sufficiently concluded. Even if McKenna couldn't return, they could have mentioned what happened to Paige. I thought Georgie would choose Veronica over Jana. He made the wrong choice. To be fair, Veronica kind of blew it. She kept denying that she was interested in him when she was. Still, she should have remained as a recurring side character

Agreed, I liked Libby, she could have been a recurring character, but sadly, she didn't even turn up in the main show. Hopefully, she became a successful geologist. I wasn't too bothered about Jana disappearing after breaking up with Georgie, but I wanted to see more of Veronica and Pastor Rob. They had more potential than the writers recognised.

The actor left the show because he got his own show, which was called "Bob Hearts Abishola." The writers dealt with the loss of the character by writing in that he divorced her and moved away (and probably took Bobbi with him).

Yes, or their daughter Bobbi. Like, she's only in one episode then barely mentioned afterwards. I think the problem with Young Sheldon is that they introduced way too many new characters. It's a good show, but had like double the amount than in the TBBT. Too many characters to juggle with.

So the thing about Tam and how they basically forgot Sheldon its because the writers were aware that because of being a genius his story would be sad like bullying and stuff like that. Since they wanted to keep the sitcom tone they just decided to sideline sheldon so people wouldn't feel bad for him.

Besides, some of the other ones were introduced after season 1, when The Big Bang Theory had already ended, or at least when every episode of The Big Bang Theory had already been written (Paige and Veronica appeared before the last few Big Bang episodes aired but those episodes were written before we got to know them).
