National Film Development Corporation Malaysia ( FINAS ) found that company does not have a Film Production Licence and that there was no application for a Certificate for Filming for the filming of that documentary. Now FINAS will help Royal Malaysian Police in carrying out investigations against Al Jazeera (M) Sdn Bhd under Section 22(1) of the Perbadanan Kemajuan Filem Nasional Malaysia Act 1981 (Amendment 2013) for carrying out filming activities, that is the activity of producing a documentary film without a valid licence from Finas. The press briefing on the covid sitiation in Malaysia is done everyday by the director of Health at about 5pm Malaysian time.. Just for your info Amanda, Malaysia Health director has received numerous awards from all over internationally for the manner the Health Ministry and other frontliners have approached the covid pandemic. Is it a case of sheer bias journalism considering the Qatar government is the owner of Al Jazeera and just look at their covid numbers for a small country with a fraction of the Malaysian population.

Regarding the children being handcuffed, there's no footage, or whatsoever like he said. Plus, we even have a strict children law.. Another silly point to add, is there any children-size handcuff for officers to use legally? They specificially used the term "handcuffed" not being chained. So it should means very literally. The illegal imigrants have everything being provided to them, a clean, air conditioned room, food 3 times a day, a free covid test and medical helps. Still a 4 millions illegal imiggrants...wow.

Number 14 --- he is either really stupid or absolutely ignorant in wanting to go into a high risk area with just a mask. Number 11 --- Malaysians are very tolerant and have lots of friends who are different races, we grew up that way. Number 6 --- Malaysians love children and would never ever handcuff them--- point verified by the minister. Number 4 --- Illegal immigrants were provided with free healthcare, food , clothing etc , definitely not mistreatment. Number 3 --- Trying to seriously mislead but it shows that they are professional liars Anyone with an iota of common sense can see that Aljazeera is a network with absolutely no integrity. They are also banned by many countries for doing something similar to that ilk.

Thank you

One more thing military style lockdown in collaboration with the police department not only happened in Kuala Lumpur but everywhere across the federal territory, at every states border preventing people from going into or out. The barbed wire lockdown as well wasn't only beinv implemented in the so called migrants area like Selayang but also in Hulu Langat, Selangor where Madrasah Clusters were locked up with barbed wires considering the seriousness of the case locally, not just the State of Selangor had done that but also in several places in the southern State of Johor as well which involved our own Malaysian citizens.

Hi Amanda, we got double digit cases ( 10-15 cases per day ) for past few days since new cluster appears especially from those coming back from overseas. Seems not a very big number to certain nations but our PM 'threaten' us that he never hesitate to put all Malaysian under lock down again if everybody keep breaking the rules & health SOP. It's so scary coz we now can enjoy our life again, all business runs as usual, internal tourism n travel allowed, schools opened, millions employees start working n many more. Oh God, we don't want to live under lock down anymore.

One of the "funniest" part is when al-Jazeera accusing the children being handcuffed and sitting under the hot sun.. there are so many kids that are doing that everyday hee in Malaysia, either playing in the playground, football field, badminton (just outdoor activities) etc... WILLINGLY..... even my nephew got so sunburn from my playing soccer with his friends... Tourists come from all over the world to Asia and Malaysia to be under the hot sun... sunbathing, getting tan, etc...... they are willingly putting their body with no clothes on to get burn.. LOL... and as for the handcuffed children? I do not believe that in a second unless you show me a full video footage of children being handcuffed there during the time that the video was saying. They did not show a single proof of it, photo or video.

The issue of handcuff is only happened in the "Red Zone area" where total lockdown was imposed. The police was gathering everyone BUT most of the illegals are trying to runaway. That's why the line-up and cuff happened. If they gave cooperation, none of the cuff incident would happen. And total lockdown was not only imposed towards illegal immigrants, few other areas as well. Namely a religious school (local) and a village in Johor (local).
@bungaialoevera4 жыл бұрын
True. If "racism" is the element of the EMCO... then the EMCO on areas like Hulu Langat and two places in Johor would be racist... because those areas are predominantly Malay areas. This is the biggest element of that "documentary" that has no basis at all. Total rubbish imho...

1st of, Im a malay and duhh lived in malaysia. Right, talking bout the handcuff thing. As much as i dont agree with childrens being handcuffed but when it comes to not just 1person but for the sake and benefit for a country as a whole, personally, i dont and wont mind it. Because when we are talking bout the chances of spreading the covid 19, the children isnt somewhat imune to it, i mean, spreading it to other people, the children is also have the same amount of chances to spread it just as much an adult. Duhh, the virus aint gonna select pick a victim to hosts, infact, children is way more easily being infected than an adult person since they simply dont know any better when it comes to safetiness, even for themselves for that matter, they couldve just going around touching and playing stuff around them which makes them more vulnerable to the virus infections in the 1st place. Theyre children for god sake, thats what they do. Playing everywhere is their thing, unfortunately in this case, it makes childrens is more tend to catch the virus than an adult. So instead of being handcuffed for a bit for the *"sureness"* of being safety, not just for the kid but for all, do i choose to just let the children roaming about the area and have more potential to pick up worse spreads the virus to me?? Lol, its obvious aint it. Id rather chain the children for a bit than having the posibilities to get infected by the virus myself. Even if its my own children. If my children have the potential to pick and spread the virus, i would take a precaution methods myself so much as to cuff them for a bit just so the rest of my own family would be in the safe scene. This is common sense. Sure its heartbroken scene but when we are in a situation like that, we need to do what we gotta do. As much as i dont want to, when the situation comes to worse, i need to. For the greater good. Well, depending on the situation that is. There are a lot of situation that required us to reconsider when it comes to childrens behaviour, we all know very well that not every children will behave *"good"* at the whole time, some children, at some point, they couldve make a sudden tantrum. Literally a ticking bomb so to say. So yeah depending on the situation. Atleast, if that handcuffs can prevent the spread of the virus, i dont see why not. Its not like its gonna hurt them anyway, its just for them to stay still for a bit before getting checked by the doctors. For their own safetiness, duhh.. Anyhow, thats what my view regarding if the childrens being handcuffed and stuff, but as a malaysian citizen myself, i dont think theres even a single case regarding children were being handcuffed at all. Like ever. Its not in our malaysian culture at all. As much as i would support it when it comes to cases as i mentioned earlier, but apparently, we dont do it. Never did i saw nor heard of such children are being handcuffed for whatsoeva reasons. Thats just an agenda by some stupid tv channel to demonized our country for the sake of their *"channel ratings"* to gain profit out of it. The reporter especially, just want a quick jumpstart of his career by making a scandalous videos such this. Yeah hes going to be famous for a while, which i find it very stupid, coz, in the long run, hes ruined his own reputation where everybody already knows that hes a fake man, nobodys going to believe worse hire him a job anymore. I hope so. Lol. Its suits hes face damn right.

So, the Al-Jazeera could just join the press conference to ask anything rather than stealing the ministry precious time for their own exclusive interview.

They chose to ignore the freedom of Malaysian citizens and many foreign blogs that pointed out the lies in AlJazeera’s reporting. Sadly, we do have some Malaysians who will support any report as long as it helps to tarnish Malaysia’s image. I do hope many more international tourists that have visited Malaysia would share their experience in Malaysia so that the truth prevail. hi amanda n others... im a msian n this is my honest yet humble opinion. handcuffing small children for any reasons is inappropriate...n even cruel. thus if the msian authority really did do that then im all against it. now the question is did they really carry it out ...or was it just al jazeera posting a video clip from other incidents, other country etc, as the media always do ( not all of coz). coming back to the msian immigration authority, the govnment really should look into this n if it did happen, then stern action should be taken against the officer in charged of the operation n the immigration dept.in general. at the end of the day, justice should be served n be looked to be served. my 2 sen. tqqq.

About sitting in the sun argument. It would be better if the people in-charge provide a tent. Indoor waiting is a no-no as it has poor air circulation which promote covid virus spread. The virus is weak when exposed to the sun UV (the hang time is shorter) which could reduce spread (medicalxpress.com/news/2020-04-sunlight-coronavirus-quickly-scientists.html) Plus it would be a raid of the area, they would not hv enough time set the place with proper tent. In the video, the kid was not handcuffed to the mom. And almost if not all of those in the sun are adults. The frontliners wearing mask and complete PPE working under the hot sun as well but apparently are not concerned by Al-Jazeera. PS. Also, during MCO, those with flu-like symptom (high temperature, sore throat etc) are checked outside of the clinic seperately from others in a tent even though in the end it is just a normal flu.

@@AmandaMuse proved how ignorant they are and how inaccurate the video are. anyone with an idea equatorial country climate will know that. sad to know this is what al jazeera is.

These are my comments on his video 1. I dont know that u cant taking footage of police/military. But, if its true, u can see how politely the police/military in the video ask the reporter to go away instead like shouting or snatching their camera like some other police/military will do it. al jazeera didnt give the credits to them right?instead blaming police/military because not allowed them to take footage. 2. U are very good in realizing that the reporter does not wear a mask even though he is in EMCO area. I dont realize it too because too focus on the statements he made in the video. 3. I agree with u that al jazeera use the term 'racism' at will. 4. The employer should be blamed for the illegal migrant, not the government. Maybe al jazeera can blame the government on their effectiveness on tackling the issues of this employer but not for illegal migrant. 5. Kids been handcuffed and chained?seriously al jazeera? Until now, i havent seen any country in the world with video of kids been handcuffed and chained. Let say, IF its true(with concrete evidence), the Malaysian surely will questioned the government about this even though they are illegal migrant. (still, i dont think it is true, out of thousands been caught in the EMCO area, only ONE migrant complaint about this! Did the reporter interview just one person only? Or actually the reporter has interview many of them, but not put into the video because their statements are different with the person in the video?) 6. Kudos to u also because u realize the mixing up anti-immigrants and anti-illegal immigrants and migrant workers in the video. Honestly, in my opinion, i dont think it is a mistake, IT IS INTENTIONAL. 7. al jazeera does get the statements from the legal/illegal migrants, but not the frontliners there like the medical staff and etc. If al jazeera cannot get the statements from them, then they cannot do the comparison and they cannot assume everything in the video. 8. And i strongly agree with u regarding the effectiveness of military-style lockdown. Honestly, in my opinion, the content of the video is not too provocative, but the statements and the words content in the video is too misleading. Fyi, many Malaysian already know about how biased is al jazeera in some of their report even before the Lockdown video.

Aljeezera why don't you say trump racist because he build a wall to prevent illegal migrants from entering the country .

during this covid pandemic. these illegal migrant worker have been identified as high risk group in the country. they got free testing, free food, free medical care and lots more before being deported back to their country. a Malaysian who do not fall into one of the high risk group or do not have any covid's symptom, have to pay to get tested. how lucky those people for being illegal in Malaysia.

I'd like the ways of his creative channel content in explaining things that's truly misinterpretations by aljazeera..i think malaysia is not suppose to deserve this kinda bad reputation,if Aljazeera journalism were really honest they'll reporting only the correct facts and will never point out the faked news.. anyway I'm glad admin doing a reaction on it and given some personal opinion about their video tho...thank you.!

I miss MCO. MCO is the key to reduce the effected pep. Since Malaysian only stick to the strict order. Now the rules is loose. The cases getting higher again 😭 r.i.p
