I personally used scrapper before and it wasn’t worth it. Better off getting the Junktown vendor magazines, two ranks in cap collector, wear some clothes to boost Charisma and maybe take some Grape Mentats and just buy LOTS of junk shipments and sell unwanted weapons/armor. Combined with Scrounger and selling unwanted ammo like .38 and you’re golden. Have way more junk now than I used to don’t struggle nearly as much to maintain resources.

Yeah, while I really liked scrapper, after lvl 20 it falls kinda short and only remains usefull, if you completely neglect picking junk parts, but weapons/armour are usually heavier than collecting the junk that offers the materials you actually need...

Maxed out Ghoulish is absolutely slept on. You’ll never have to worry about radiation again. You can drink water from any source, can swim anywhere, and don’t really need power armor to cross the glowing sea or the fog in Far Harbor. Combined with Life Giver it almost completely makes healing items unnecessary. Compounded further with Solar Powered it makes you nigh on invincible during daylight hours.

If you use a lot of energy type weapons then you should also level science for modding. It frequently pairs with gun nut to make better mods available. Good vid

You still need to get scientists so you can upgrade your power armor if you use power armor

Personally, getting the spray n pray then maxing demolition expert is a must. The thing melts.

Yeah. your ammo stockpile fastest. I mean, .45 Ammo is rather common, but tends to get heavy. It is great fun, though.

@@theLazyPragmatic yeah I can comfortably carry 1k with lone wanderer I use the 308 ar to finish. after crippling limbs with spray n pray normally

@@gribbly1738 That's cool, although it would not be my playstyle, lobbing around two heavy weapons and significant ammo for both (I'm not even sure I found that many .308 in my playthrough, even with the perk). Besides I would miss Cait's & Nick's (and all the others) comments or Strong's really fun views on life if I play with lone wanderer. But I like that it works for you, dontgetmewrong

You should specify that better criticals only work in vats. Some players dont use vats and that would be a waste.

@@redwind5150 Vinylic puma gaming doesnt usually use vats and has suggested some others who dont in a few of his videos. Its more than you think. Mainly the players that want the most immersive experience.

@@redwind5150 I very, very rarely use VATS, rescuing Kent is one time it is almost essential. Occasionally with things like bloatflies or a mass feral charge, latest runthrough I'm level 75 and probably used VATS about 10-15 times.

@@redwind5150 I rarely use vats, occasionally but never enough to spec into it. Makes the game very boring imo

I always use VATS , couldn’t stand playing without it honestly. VATS makes battles go faster which is imperative to make the game interesting, I can’t stand long drawn out fights it’s so boring. i want to get on and do the interesting stuff not get stuck for five minutes in a firefight. I never take Dogmeat past the first few levels because I play as a stealth character and he always rushes forward like a real dog would, he’s lovely but not as a companion.

Rifleman yes. Demolition you can make tons of expensive mines and grenades and sell them. Plus they explode like mini nuke at full level. Aqua boy or lone wanderer not really. Ada can carry tonnes for you and lots of rad away for swimming. You can get a rad resistant water breather in far harbour. Lockpick as there are important goodies. But three stars are fine.

Aqua person is godsent in survival, even the second tier. Constant sneak attacks on mirelurk Queen quickly gets rid of them.

For hacking I use Nick Valentine and for lock picking Cait. I like to have companions around. I give them my second best rifle - often a 10mm pistol or a .38 rifle and bullets, my second best armor and let them help me. Handling weapons and armor for a party needs time, but I like this "dress my doll" part of the game.

I usually do at least one point in lone wanderer just cuz i dont bother picking up my companions normally. Usually if they die, they're heading back fully loaded anyway and id rather have the extra carry weight while i finish up what im doing.

There is absolutely no reason to max out hacker or lockpicking. You only need the first three ranks as the 4th of both is really unnecessary

Very true. Also don't max idiot savant. Never personally seen the effects of top level bloody mess, mysterious stranger or scrounger. I would not take them again, but ymmv.

It's unnecessary, but never breaking a pick is very convenient. Don't max out hacker, though. I agree with that.

By late game, you should have over 70 or more Bobby pins and why waste points on hacker when you have Nick

@@Tempus0ptic So you can take other companions with you. Did you know MacCready was voiced by Matt Mercer? I like Curie and her comments (or Strong. fun guy) and it's absolutely insane what you can make Codsworth into when you have a robot workbench. I agree with the bobby pins, you end up having hundrets, but a not breaking bobbypin is possibly a thing of convenience.

Please help with order of obtaining ranks. For example: get rank one in each of the 15 and then move to rank two, or max out the ranks for each perk in the order presented.
